Right-wing troll Alex Jones has come to the end of his rope. On Tuesday (Oct. 14), the Supreme Court declined an appeal from Jones, who wanted to overturn a $1.4 billion libel judgement from a lower court over his false comments about the 2012 Sandy Hook school massacre. “Jones has faced mounting legal pressure after […]
The Onion's bid was supported by families of the victims of the Sandy Hook shooting. Judge Rejects Sale of InfoWars to The Onion Eddie Fu
The parent company of satirical news website The Onion purchased conspiracy theorist Alex Jones' InfoWars outlet.
YouTube is reportedly working to remove reuploaded video clips of Kanye “Ye” West‘s controversial interview on Alex Jones’ Infowars talk show. During his appearance Thursday (Dec. 1) on the alt-right conspiracy theorist’s program, Ye shocked viewers by praising Adolf Hitler and the Nazis. “Every human being has something of value that they brought to the table, especially Hitler,” the rapper said. “How about that one?” Later in the day, Ye was also suspended once again from Twitter after posting an image of a swastika merged with a Star of David. NBC News reported on Saturday (Dec. 3) that YouTube parent company Google was “working to remove reuploads if the antisemitism in the interview isn’t denounced in the video via added commentary,” according to a statement from the tech gi...
HipHopWired Featured Video CLOSE Source: YouTube / Youtube We have arrived at the Ye co-signs Adolf Hitler with his whole chest portion of the simulation. On Thursday (Dec, 1), the artist formerly known as Kanye West made an appearance on Alex Jones’ web show, and proceeded to say that even a homicidal maniac has something of value to contribute. Ye appearing on Alex Jones was already wild for the night. This is the same conspiracy wingnut who is on the hook for millions of damages to the families of Sandy Hook victims after he falsely claimed the murders of their children were all made up. Such heinous behaviors was apparently not enough to stop Ye from having a live stream interview with the infamous Infowars host. They surely didn’t disappoint when it comes to tomfoolery and lies, that ...
Alex Jones is a huckster, a conspiracy theorist, one of the worst people ever to work in media (and that’s saying something), and, perhaps soon, a negative billionaire. A Connecticut jury ruled on October 12th that the InfoWars founder must pay out $965 million for defamation after he spent a decade spreading lies about the 2012 school shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary. As reported by Reuters, CNN, Variety, and more, the case had 15 plaintiffs, including family members of eight victims of the shooting, plus a former FBI agent. Jones has repeatedly and falsely claimed that the shooting never happened — that 28 people, including 20 children didn’t die — and that anyone claiming otherwise was a paid actor for a government plot to unlawfully confiscate American’s guns. Jones called the ma...
A Texas jury has ordered conspiracy theorist and Infowars owner Alex Jones to pay the parents of a Sandy Hook shooting victim $4 million in compensatory damages in an ongoing defamation lawsuit. Jones has spent almost a decade arguing that the 2012 shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School — which left 28 people, including 20 children, dead — was a hoax, and that the parents of the victims were “crisis actors” upholding the lie. One set of parents, Scarlett Lewis and Neil Heslin, sued Jones and his company, Free Speech Systems, in 2018 for defamation, and originally asked for $150 million in compensatory damages. In a verdict signed by 10 members of the 12-member jury, the group landed on $4 million, but a separate trial to decide how much Jones will pay in punitive damages is still forthco...
HipHopWired Featured Video Source: Phillip Faraone / Getty Joe Budden is beefing with conspiracy theorist extraordinaire Alex Jones. We’re guessing this wasn’t on your 2021 bingo card. Jones is probably most known as the guy who told anyone who would listen that the Sandy Hook mass shooting didn’t actually happen. Actually, it did, and he was sued for defamation due to his lies about the tragedy, and lost. That said, Jones got all in his feeling when Budden criticized comedian and podcaster Andrew Schultz for interviewing Jones, who the rapper referred to as “the KKK guy.” Apparently, that’s all he needed to go in a Budden on his InfoWars site. [embedded content] According to Jones, Budden is the real racist. “I will not sit there and have racist Black people who are feeding at the corpora...
