Midlake Announce New Album For the Sake of Bethel Woods, Share “Meanwhile…”: Stream

After nearly a decade away, Midlake are gearing up to release their fifth studio album, which is the band’s first since 2013. It’s called For the Sake of Bethel Woods and arrives March 18th, 2022 via ATO Records in the States and Bella Union in the UK. As a preview, the Texas folk rockers have shared “Meanwhile…,” the record’s first single. For the Sake of Bethel Woods marks Midlake’s first time working with an outside producer, having teamed up with studio vet John Congleton, whose recent credits include St. Vincent, Sharon Van Etten, and Explosions in the Sky. Fred Durst has teased part of the artwork for Limp Bizkit’s long-awaited new album. He also hinted that it could drop on Halloween. Björk Returns to the Stage For Orchestral Global Live Stream: Recap

Before we get to listen to that living room club album, Björk is making a few “stops” on a virtual tour with an orchestral global live stream concert series. The four-show series kicked off in Iceland from the Harpa Reykjavík Concert Hall on October 11th. After having to reschedule the series due to COVID-19 regulations in Iceland, Björk has noted that the series is a celebration of “healthily exiting quarantine together.” During the Sunday, October 24th concert, Björk, joined by the Icelandic Symphony Orchestra, performed a baker’s dozen of songs from her albums Medulla, Biophilia, and Utopia. Bon Iver Announces 2022 Tour Dates

Bon Iver will embark on a 23-date US amphitheater tour in Spring 2022. The newly announced jaunt comes in support of the band’s latest album, i, i. Per a press release, the upcoming shows will feature the latest iteration of the Bon Iver’s live band, with Justin Vernon joined by Sean Carey, Wye Oak’s Jenn Wasner, Mike Lewis, Matt McCaughan, and Andy Fitzpatrick. A ticket pre-sale for the US dates begin on October 27th, followed by a public on-sale on October 29th via Ticketmaster. Björk is opening up about what fans can expect from her upcoming tenth studio album. In a new interview airing before her livestreamed residency with the Iceland Symphony Orchestra, the singer said the coming LP is “for people who are making clubs at home in their living room, restricted to their ‘Christmas bubble.’” Björk’s next full-length release will serve as a follow-up to 2017’s Utopia. Parquet Courts return today with their new album, Sympathy for Life. The post punk torchbearers’ follow-up to 2018’s Wide Awake! is out via Rough Trade, and marks the band’s seventh LP to date. Spanning 11 tracks, Sympathy for Life originated from a series of live jam sessions, inspired by the likes of Primal Scream, Pink Floyd, and bygone live music clubs in their New York City home base. After six long years, My Morning Jacket have finally released a new album. It’s called My Morning Jacket and it’s available to stream below via Apple Music and Spotify. To show there are no hard feelings, the two drummers posed for a photo in which he symbolically handed her the drumsticks. In a statement, the group wrote, “Paul is leaving the band. It was a bit of a shocker for us when we found out, so it probably will be for some of you too. Paul has been our friend for over twenty five years & we’re looking forward to at least another twenty five.
