Amazon Music has announced the launch of '50 & Forever,' a series of livestream events celebrating the influence of Hip-Hop culture as it celebrates its 50th anniversary in August. The weekly series will feature content streamed live globally over its Twitch channel, including special City Session concert performances and in-depth discussions.

Amazon Music Debuts New Hip-Hop & Latino-Focused Shows

Two new shows, dedicated to Hip-Hop, Latin music and pop culture, will be premiering on Amazon Music later on in the month. Amazon Music Now Offers 100 Million Songs to Prime Members

Amazon Music will expand its ad-free offering for Prime members from 2 million songs to more than 100 million songs, the company announced on Tuesday (November 1). Apple Music’s Price Hike Boosts Music Stocks

Universal Music Group, Hipgnosis Songs Fund and other music stocks got a much-needed boost on Tuesday (Oct. 25) following news of Apple Music’s price hike, as investors bet it would trigger a wave of streaming subscription cost increases. Universal Music Group’s stock closed 11.6% higher, Hipgnosis Songs Fund Ltd ended up 7.8% and Korean music companies SM Entertainment and HYBE finished the trading day 4.8% and 4.4% higher, respectfully, on Tuesday. On Monday, Apple announced that it was raising the standard U.S. and U.K. individual plan price to $10.99 from $9.99. Amazon Music To Air Concerts After Thursday Night NFL Games, Hosted By 2 Chainz

The online retail giant—which also has television streaming and music DSP is now planning to kick off Amazon Music Live on October 27. Dillon Francis Confirmed As Special Guest On Marc Rebillet’s “We’ve Got Company” Show

Dillon Francis will be going inside the mind of Marc Rebillet for the debut episode of the latter’s new Amazon Music show, We’ve Got Company.  Francis has been confirmed as the second special guest in the series, following Flying Lotus’ appearance in the first episode. Broadcasting bi-weekly, We’ve Got Company is described as “a talk show inside of a sitcom.” Rebillet and his guests will create music on the fly, interact with viewers, play video games and more, all inside the world of a zany TV sitcom hosted by Loop Daddy himself.  While the episode with Francis is technically the second episode in the series, it will be the broadcast debut of We’ve Got Company since the pilot with Lotus never made the air due to technical difficulties.
