A Nigerian lady has accused billionaire lawyer, Prince Ned Nwoko, of unjustly detaining her father and uncle. According to her, Nwoko is bent on frustrating her family. The lady also alleged that Nwoko accused her dad of what he is innocent of and has locked up several people unjustly. Lagos to demolish shanties, takeover abandoned buildings
Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Monday said that the government would continue to demolish shanties across the state. Sanwo-Olu said this during the Security Stakeholders Town Hall Meeting at Ikeja, adding that the state government would also confiscate abandoned buildings. He said that the shanties, abandoned buildings and vehicles were hideouts for criminals, hence, should be tackled. ‘Boko Haram members’ arrested in Kano mosque
Armed security men on Saturday night raided a mosque in Filin Lazio, Hotoro, in Kano metropolitan area, arresting an unspecified number of worshippers. Eyewitnesses told newsmen that the operation, led the military, occurred at about when the Muslim faithful were breaking their Ramadan fast. Two persons were feared killed while one was injured as bank robbers attacked a bullion van at Bolorunduro area in Ondo East council area of Ondo state. An unspecified amount of money were reportedly carted away by the robbers numbering over eight. The robbery attack occurred at about 5:30pm. The Kwara State Police Command has announced the arrest of one Kehinde Moses, 24, who was allegedly caught with a fresh human head and hands on Monday. The United States on Sunday denied a report by Iran’s state television that the arch-foes had reached a prisoner swap deal in exchange for the release of $7 billion frozen Iranian oil funds under U.S. sanctions in other countries. A mob has killed an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) and injured three other policemen during an attack in Adamawa State.
