Wolfgang Tillmans Explores Simultaneous Experiences in Upcoming “Fold” Exhibition

David Zwirner is gearing up to launch "Fold Me," Wolfgang Tillmans' fourth solo exhibition at their gallery in New York. "Fold Me" features entirely new artwork by the artist, following his major retrospective at The Museum of Modern Art in New York. Bridget Riley Plays With Perception in Massive Wall Art Exhibition

Op Art pioneer Bridget Riley is showcasing a series of her emphatic wall paintings at Galerie Max Hetzler's Potsdamer Straße location in Berlin. The show will consist of 13 works in total, more than half of which have been loaned out from public collections from around the world. For over 60 years, Riley has interrogated what it means to see. By distilling perception to its constituent elements — color and shape, light and shadow, composition and depth — the British artist has challenged the traditions of painting and the very notion of representation. By the late-1960s, Riley had started experimenting with the relationship between minimal color palettes on a colossal scale — an inquiry that persists to this day. Each wall artwork looks deceptively simple, but reveals itself to the onlooke...

180 Studios and FACT Magazine’s ‘Future Shock’ Exhibition Is Now Available Online

Last year, FACT Magazine and 180 Studios took London by storm through an audio-visual experience dubbed Future Shock, which pitted audiences in an immersive display of projection mapping, AI datasets and electronic music. The title of the show was eerily inspired by American futurologist Alvin Toffler’s 1970s book of the same name, which anticipated the stress and disorientation ushered in by technological age. While the event itself was reserved for London's 180 Studios, the experience is now available to enjoy anywhere in the world through a new online presentation. The site is somewhat confusing to use at first, but once you begin clicking on the index towards the top, a drop-down menu will allow access to each of the 16 artworks. Highlights include Japanese artist Ryoichi Kurokawa's in...

Presented by JPS Gallery, the show takes on the form of a large-scale, and fully immersive installation.nAt a glance, "Moon Lands On Man” depicts playful, imaginary spaces crafted entirely of cardboard — the kind of playground that most have dreamed of as children. New Exhibition Fuses the Work of Brian Eno and Dan Flavin

Brian Eno's atmospheric music has enchanted sound systems across the world since the mid-1970s. From his early ambient bits, such as "1/1" and "An Arc Of Doves" to a collaborative record with Jon Hopkins and Leo Abrahams, along with a recent link up with Fred again..At the heart of Eno's approach to music, however, has always been an equal fascination with how these sounds will live visually in space. A new exhibition at London's Paul Stolper Gallery aims to (literally) illuminate this interest through a set of enigmatic sculptures presented alongside works by legendary Light and Space artist, Dan Flavin. Set in a dimly lit room, Brian Eno / Dan Flavin will feature a range of fixtures, such as Eno's light box series, Soft Sharp / Sharp Soft, as well as Ovation and Still, along with three e...

A sculpture from the set of the upcoming Beetlejuice 2 film has been stolen in Vermont, according to local authorities. The artwork is one of the most recognizable pieces from the original film, depicting a large pronged leaf-like statue that attacks the fictional artist Delia Deetz (played by Catherine O’Hara) in the movie. A report published by the Vermont State Police states that the 150-pound sculpture was stolen sometime between July 13 and the morning of July 17 at a cemetery in the East Corinth municipality, where scenes from the original were also shot.
