The Porsche 911 GT3 is a formidable supercar, but for those that want it just that bit more hardcore, look no further than the Manthey-Racing upgrade package.Owners of a GT3 in North America now have the option to spec, or add, the pack to their car courtesy of official Porsche dealerships. Manthey-Racing adds a more aggressive front lip spoiler alongside canards, underbody air control units that enable better aerodynamic flow and downforce, and a wider rear wing that still maintains the GT3's stunning swan neck design.Elsewhere, we find optional aero disc covers for the rear wheels, centering around a carbon fiber cover, the addition of a gurney flap (derived from Formula 1 technology) on the aforementioned rear wing for even more downforce at high speeds and lower-speed cornering, and ex...

It’s the automotive industry’s most ubiquitous oxymoron: the performance SUV. From Ferrari and Lamborghini to Bentley, Aston Martin, Audi, and of course BMW, the humble utility vehicle has been through the sports enhancement center to create an automobile that has all of the credentials of a supercar without the impracticality. And the latest in this divisive line-up of gas-guzzlers is the all-new BMW XM.“M” is the most powerful letter in the automotive alphabet. It stands for “Motorsport,” and in its 50 years of producing cars, it has lived up to expectations. BMW’s skunkworks M division grew from a racing arm to a consumer-facing brand, kicking off its road-going legacy with the legendary BMW M1. When this car came out in 1979, it gave BMW supercar provenance, as only 456 M1s were ever b...

The shooting brake is back, sort of, with BMW's Concept Touring Coupé. Unveiled during Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este 2023, the concept car harks back to years gone by when coachbuilders from Europe were pioneering the shooting brake look -- think the ultra-rare 1972 Ferrari 365 GTB 4 Shooting Brake, anything made by Pininfarina or Zagato, and of course, the BMW Z3 M Coupé.BMW now presents the future of shooting brakes in the form of the concept you see above. Its looks are unmistakably passed down the generational line, looking like a sharper, contemporary version of the Z3 M Coupé from 1998, as the car is in fact based on the marque's current Z4 sports car.Furthermore, the car echoes the German manufacturer's history, looking at models like the BMW 328 Touring Coupé that won the Mille ...
If there's one thing Brabus knows how to do, is create hyper-performance cars that take driving to the next level. This is the case with the tuning company's most powerful car it has ever made, the Brabus 930, based on the formidable Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E PERFORMANCE.The stock car is already a mightily impressive thing, pushing 831 HP and 1,033 lb-ft of torque out of its twin-turbocharged four-liter V8 that's paired to a hybrid drivetrain. With Brabus' tweaks, the very same engine now puts out a staggering 930 HP and 1,143 lb-ft of torque, resulting in a 0-62 MPH time of 2.8 seconds, before hitting the electronically-limited top speed of 196 MPH -- any faster and the thing might just take for lift off.Aside from power, the Brabus 930 sports a comprehensive visual rework courtesy of lashin...
Since Cadillac first introduced the Escalade in 1999, the super-sized, super-luxurious SUV has become a cultural icon. It's been name-dropped in over 200 hip-hop tracks, and it's appeared in films and TV from The Matrix to The Sopranos. Now, it's heading into a new realm — one that's fully electric. Earlier today, General Motors announced that the first all-electric Escalade would release "later this year."Dubbed the Escalade IQ, the new model will be the third EV in Cadillac's lineup, joining the Celestiq (a luxury sedan) and the Lyriq (a mid-sized SUV). Details on the car's design and features are sparse — General Motors' announcement was a sparse two paragraphs and only included a single image — but it'll likely use GM's Ultium battery tech. The new vehicle should be available in a duo ...
When Hypebeast got its hands on the 2023 Toyota Prius Prime XSE Premium earlier this year, we asked if it could finally be considered "cool." Evidentially, we weren't the only ones inspired by the Japanese hybrid's fetching new look, as the tuning company T-Demand has revealed its extravagant take on the iconic automobile. With T-Demand's touch, this Prius is far from the one your uncle or Uber driver whips around in. Instead, attention has been paid to stance, a JDM staple. As such, we find a list of tuning options including new upper and lower arms, toe control, and Pro Arm dampers and toe arms. Air suspension has also been fitted to T-Demand's show cars, dropping the Prius to heights that wouldn't clear a residential speed hump, while six-pot calipers now hug 380mm disc brakes, adding ple...
BMW wants to lead the charge when it comes to electrified mobility, and now turns its attention away from road-going cars and motorbikes to focus on one of the biggest poulters on earth -- yachts. This is THE ICON, a marine craft made in collaboration with TYDE, and it's quite the architectural spectacle.THE ICON is the first battery-powered marine craft of its kind, using a pair of 100 kW electric motors that convert the 240 kWh of energy supplied by six batteries from the BMW i3 into nautical power, speed, and range. As such, THE ICON can travel roughly 100 km, and hits a top speed of 55 km/h.One of its remarkable points is that the boat is almost silent and does not produce waves or vibrations, thus disturbing the sea. It evokes the epitome of luxury voyage experiences, and this is only...
