I can safely say my (faux) leather trousers from Mango are the most-worn item in my autumn wardrobe. I found them in the sale two years ago after trying to track them down for months, and I’ve worn them so many times they’re quite literally splitting at the knee. Recently, I’ve found myself in fashion purgatory. As someone old enough to remember the original Y2K era, I look at girls too young to remember tamagotchis, the Nokia 3210 or the Friends finale with envy. While I may dare to embrace low-rise jeans this winter, butterfly tops and exposed G-strings are firmly behind me. It’s really rare that I buy anything—designer or high street—because I simply can’t seem to make decisions these days.
