From a fish that walks on land to hippos that surf the ocean waves, Obama waxes poetic about the little-known animals that inhabit our planet. “Around the world, the more isolated the national park, the more unusual its creatures and the more extraordinary their behaviors,” he narrates, before making a physical appearance in the trailer. The two were interviewed for a segment on CBS This Morning regarding the release of their book based on their podcast, Renegades: Born in The USA. Barack Obama is celebrating his 60th birthday this weekend, but due to the recent rise in coronavirus cases the former president has been forced to dramatically scale back the festivities. Of the 475 people originally on the guest list, several prominent names have now been uninvited, according to The New York Times. Among those left out in the cold: Curb Your Enthusiasm star Larry David, whose snubbing may have more to do with his disrespect for wood than the pandemic. Former late-night talk show hosts David Letterman and Conan O’Brien were also cut from the guest list, as were many former staff members of Obama’s White House administration. On Renegades: Born In the U.S.A., an eight-episode podcast, Obama and Springsteen reunited for intimate chats on race, fatherhood, marriage and the state of America. “There were serious conversations about the fate of the country, the fortune of its citizens, and the destructive, ugly, corrupt forces at play that would like to take it all down,” writes Springsteen in his introduction for the forthcoming book. “This is a time of vigilance when who we are is being seriously tested. Hard conversations about who we are and who we want to become can perhaps serve as a small guiding map for some of our fellow citizens,” he continues. “This is a time for serious consideration of who we want to be and what kind of country we will leave our children.” Obama and Springsteen first met back in 2008, a...

President Joe Biden and first lady Jill Biden on Saturday announced the passing of their German shepherd Champ, who they called a “constant, cherished companion” for 13 years. “In our most joyful moments and in our most grief-stricken days, he was there with us, sensitive to our every unspoken feeling and emotion. We love our sweet, good boy and will miss him always,” the Bidens said in a statement. Champ was one of two German shepherds living at the White House with the president and first lady. Biden got Champ in 2008, the year he was elected vice president under President Barack Obama. Champ lived alongside Major, who the Bidens adopted in November 2018 and became the first rescue dog to live in the White House. Major had to be briefly removed from the premises after two incidents of ni...
HipHopWired Featured Video Source: Bloomberg / Getty Our forever President Barack Obama kept it cordial in public when it comes to the orange menace, Donald Trump, but according to a new book, behind closed doors was completely another story. As spotted on Raw Story, in excerpts obtained The Guardian from a new book titled, Battle for the Soul: Inside the Democrats’ Campaigns to Defeat Donald Trump written by The Atlantic staff writer Edward-Isaac Dovere, Barack Obama pretty much felt how we all felt about Donald Trump in private. The excerpts reveal that Obama kept it all the way real about Trump calling “madman,” a “racist, sexist pig,” “that f*cking lunatic,” and a “corrupt motherf*cker.” Per Raw Story: “He’s a madman,” Obama said, according to Dovere. “More often: ‘I didn’t ...
