Vin Diesel Debuts First Single ‘Feel Like I Do’ on ‘The Kelly Clarkson Show,’ Thanks to Kygo

As Vin Diesel navigates 2020 away from the Fast and Furious set, he video chatted Kelly Clarkson on her show Thursday (Sept. 24) from a recording studio to premiere his debut single “Feel Like I Do” in collaboration with Kygo. “Feel Like I Do” is the first solo single by the action movie star and according to Diesel, the first song on Kygo’s record label Palm Tree Records. And the tropical house track is perfect to listen to with palm trees swaying in the breeze, but that wasn’t quite the setting for its worldwide debut. Spaced out video panels on the set of Clarkson’s NBC daytime talk show displayed the usual dancing audience members from their homes, a venue where Diesel felt “honored” to host the first l...

Miranda July & Emile Mosseri Break Down the Lush, Romantic ‘Kajillionaire’ Score

It’s hard to say what a ‘typical’ movie plot for offbeat auteur Miranda July might be, but it still comes as a bit of a surprise that the latest offering from the writer/director of such Criterion-approved fare as Me You and Everyone We Know and The Future is a film about a family. Then again, Kajillionaire stars a different kind of kin: a trio of emotionally stunted con artists intent on maintaining an off-the-grid, glamor-free existence. Shifting between depictions of parent-child disagreements (relatable!) and scenes about robbing the terminally ill (less relatable!), Kajillionaire is a delicate, deft balancing act; it’s hard to imagine anyone without July’s distinctive vision and exacting attention to nuanced performances — the chemistry of discomfor...

Corgan listed his rock-leaning musical influences David Bowie, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath and The Beatles, but he appreciates how pop stars like Halsey and Lady Gaga have been leaning into other genres in a “musical world that I dreamed of.” “I think the good news is that we’re now in, or we’ve entered into, the musical world that I dreamed of.
