According to TMZ the man known as Hakeem Lyon to his legion of fans was taken into custody by Arizona police early Monday morning (July 13) for domestic violence. Empire Actor Bryshere Gray Charged With Felony Assault
Empire actor Bryshere Gray has been charged with felony aggravated assault after allegedly attacking his wife. The Goodyear Police Department in Goodyear, Arizona said Gray was arrested on Monday after they received a 911 call about a woman who had been assaulted for several hours by her husband, whom was identified as Gray. The woman, who had multiple visible injuries, told officers that Gray strangled her and that she had temporarily lost consciousness, according to USA Today. After officers arrived outside of Gray’s home, a short standoff ensued. Eventually, SWAT and crisis negotiators were able to convince Gray to exit his home and surrender. Source: FOX / Getty Bryshere Gray may have been the “top dog” on the hit show, Empire, but it seems his dog in real life is being accused of causing some pretty extensive damages at his rental home and the landlord wants the money back. According to TMZ, Chicago landlords Vinod Venugopal and Payal Shah sued the Empire star after claiming that Gray and his dog “terrorized” the building he rented while filming the hit show’s final season. In court documents obtained by the site, the landlords say they rented Gray a condo inside their four-unit Chicago complex in August 2019, it was there that they claim Gray, among other things, left his dog inside the condo for extended periods of time.
