Traders, shop owners and stakeholders operating under the aegis of Balogun Business Association (BBA) in Lagos have raised the alarm over a rumoured threat to raid their market by thugs loyal to a former chairman of the association. PDP: Imo attacks show Governor Uzodinma’s failure

CAN: Nigeria almost becoming a failed nation

File Photo The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has condemned the abduction of 333 students of Government Secondary School, Kankara, Katsina State. CAN also said that the worsening security situation across the country shows that Nigeria is “almost becoming a failed nation.” The group’s statement by Adebayo Oladeji, Special Assistant (Media and Communications) to the CAN President, described the incident as another tragic chapter in the history of the country. UNIOSUN student commits suicide

A 23-year-old 100 level student of Osun State University, Ikire campus Juba Orisajafor on Tuesday drank poison and died few hours he preached against suicide on his WhatsApp. It was gathered that Orisajafor on Tuesday morning around updated his WhatsApp status, condemning suicide. His post on WhatsApp reads: “Often time I ask myself, Why do people commit suicide? Perhaps because they’ve got no one to encourage, motivate or guide them or because they felt there is no solution to whatever problem they are going through. Perhaps they forgot there’s more to enjoy when there’s life (hope) is not lost”.
