“Yes, the music is coming!” promised Beyoncé in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar last year. Now, rumors are swirling that some of that music was produced by house music producer Honey Dijon. This is all according to a tweet from Gregory Ellwood, a music journalist known for being, well, in the know about all things Queen Bey. Two of the tracks off her upcoming album, B7, were purportedly produced by Dijon. While neither of the artists have publicly responded to these whispers, it’s no secret that these two icons are friends. Last year, for example, Dijon sent Beyoncé “kisses from Berlin” in a “Happy Birthday Beyoncé!” video produced by Apple Music. “No idea about the actual sound…but holding out ...
Marilyn Manson has confirmed that he is once again collaborating with Kanye West, this time on the rapper’s upcoming album, Donda 2, which is expected to be released later this month. The embattled shock rocker previously appeared on Ye’s 2021 album, Donda, guesting on the track “Jail pt 2.” Reports recently surfaced that Manson was back in the studio with West when producer Digital Nas told Rolling Stone, “Every day I go to the studio, Marilyn is in there working on Donda 2. [Kanye] doesn’t want Marilyn to play rap beats. He wants Marilyn to play what he makes, and then Ye will take parts of that and sample parts of that and use parts of that, like he did [when making the album] Yeezus.” Industrial musician and producer Tim Skold, who’s been a member of Manson’s eponymous band and KM...

Toward the end of last year, Phoebe Bridgers started her own record label called Saddest Factory Records, and this past spring signed the Los Angeles synthpop trio MUNA. Today, MUNA have shared their first single since joining the label, “Silk Chiffon,” featuring a verse from Bridgers herself. If “Silk Chiffon” is meant to reintroduce MUNA to old fans and new listeners alike, then it goes above and beyond in summarizing what makes the group so much fun. It’s an unabashedly pop number with airy guitars and a vocal melody that will get stuck in your head all week. According to Naomi McPherson, the band’s guitarist and producer, “Silk Chiffon” was written in hopes of being “a song for kids to have their first gay kiss to.” “Silk Chiffon” arrives with a vibrant music video in tow. Illuminati Hotties, the indie rock project of producer-songwriter Sarah Tudzin, has just released a new single from her upcoming album Let Me Do One More. It’s called “u v v p” and it sees her teaming up with Big Thief’s own Buck Meek. Stream the track below. “u v v p” has arrived just in time for summer, with its laid-back beach vibes and sunny steel guitar. So far in her career, Illuminati Hotties has made the biggest waves with punk-leaning pop numbers, but this Beach Boys-style track suits her just as well. By the time Buck Meek kicks in near the end for a verse that sounds like a cowboy reading a melodramatic letter, it’s clear that no matter what Tudzin writes, she can’t help but have fun while doing it. This is the third track Tudzin has shared from Let Me Do One More, her second pr...
