New Trailer for Only Murders in the Building Season 2 Sends Investigation in Whole New Direction: Watch

Everyone’s favorite podcasters are about to pop under the pressure in the new trailer for Season 2 of Only Murders in the Building. The new preview picks up where Season 1 left off, with Charles (Steve Martin), Oliver (Martin Short), and Mabel (Selena Gomez) being led away in handcuffs. “You are all persons of interest in this case,” Detective Williams (Da’Vine Joy Randolph) tells them, a reference to the twist that ended the last season. However, this cloud has a silver lining. “It’s very rare for a true crime podcast to do a sequel,” Charles says. “We’ve got a real opportunity here.” Advertisement Related Video But only if they can stay ahead of the murderer, who seems increasingly hellbent on seeing them in prison. As Mabel complains, “Evidence keeps showing up in ou...

Players Uses League of Legends to Satirize Sports Docs, and It’s Hilarious: Review

The Pitch: What Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story did for music biopics, Netflix’s American Vandal did for the true-crime docuseries. For two glorious seasons of adolescent dick and poop jokes painted with all the forensic seriousness of Making a Murderer, Tony Yacenda (who also directed episodes of Dave and real-life true crime doc Trial by Media) and Dan Perrault perfectly threaded the needle between the melodramatic trivia of teenhood and the over-the-top mechanics of true crime. After that show’s unceremonious cancellation, Yacenda and Perrault are back with another pointed critique of the documentary format and the juvenile antics of manchildren. This time, the question is: What would The Last Dance look like if it were actually about mouthbreathing esp...

Dirty Daddy: The Bob Saget Tribute Is a Messy But Loving Remembrance — Review

Bob Saget pulled off a remarkable trick over his long and busy career in comedy: He spent the late ’80s and much of the ’90s as one of America’s favorite professional genial dorks, playing a square dad on the cornball and often unbearably saccharine ABC sitcom Full House and ringmaster to America’s less professionally genial dorks — those suffering home-recorded mishaps on the same network’s America’s Funniest Home Videos. After those gigs ended, though, he directed one very funny and decidedly less clean comedy, Dirty Work, and word about his non-ABC comedy career spread: That Bob Saget fellow really works pretty blue! This was probably always true outside of his time on ABC — how many comedians can’t hit a blue streak sometimes? — but Saget seemed to particularly delight in puncturing hi...

Rob Zombie Unveils First Teaser Trailer for His Upcoming Movie The Munsters: Watch

After sharing many photos from the set over the past few months, Rob Zombie has unveiled the first teaser trailer for his upcoming film The Munsters. While it’s a very brief tease, it clearly shows the rocker-director’s commitment to keeping the film as authentic to the original 1960s sitcom as possible. The teaser serves as an introduction to the main characters: Herman Munster (played by Jeff Daniel Phillips), Lily Munster (played by Rob’s wife Sheri Moon Zombie), and Grandpa Munster (played by Daniel Roebuck). The beginning of the clip is basically a faithful black & white recreation of the opening sequence of the ’60s sitcom. With the same theme song as the original TV show, we see Herman comedically bust through a door at 1313 Mockingbird Lane, followed by humorous entrances by Li...

Carol Burnett Returning to TV Opposite Kristen Wiig in Mrs. American Pie

Carol Burnett hasn’t been a series regular since The Carol Burnett Show went off air in 1978, but that’s about to change with her starring role in the Apple TV+ comedy series Mrs. American Pie. Per The Hollywood Reporter, the legendary comedian will star as Norma, the grande dame of the Palm Beach high society in which Kristen Wiig’s Maxine Simmons is trying to get a seat at the table. Set in the early 1970s, the series is based on Juliet McDaniel’s novel of the same name. The official logline reads as follows: “As Maxine attempts to cross that impermeable line between the haves and the have-nots, the comedy asks the same questions that still baffle people today: Who gets a seat at the table? How do you get a seat at the table? What will you sacrifice to get there?” Advertisement...

Jerrod Carmichael Slams Cancel Culture: “That’s Just to Give Boring People Something Interesting to Talk About”
