Governor Masari: Katsina won’t negotiate with bandits
Governor Aminu Masari of Katsina State on Wednesday reiterated his charge on the security agencies to be ruthless with bandits terrorizing the state as well as neighbouring Kaduna and Zamfara States. He made the declaration when heads of security agencies in Katsina brought two repentant bandit commanders from Illela village in Safana Local Government Area. The repentant bandit commanders also returned 10 AK 47 rifles. Minister condemns destruction of medical equipment in Kogi
The FCT Minister of State, Dr Ramatu Aliyu, has condemned the destruction by hoodlums of medical equipment worth billions of naira at the Central Medical Store in Kogi. Aliyu, in a statement signed by her Special Assistant on Media, Mr Austine Elemue, on Friday in Abuja, described the hoodlums as “enemies of the state”. #EndSARS: Four policemen die, 11 stations razed in Anambra
No fewer than four Police officers were confirmed dead and two injured in Anambra during the recent #EndSARS protests in the state by hoodlums. Mr John Abang, Commissioner of Police in Anambra said this in Awka on Wednesday during the parade of 17 suspected hoodlums. The list of 17 suspects paraded indicated that 10 of them were indigenes of Anambra, four from Ebonyi and three from Abia. Abang said 11 Police Stations were burnt down and six vandalised during which the hoodlums carted away motorcycles, ammunition and other valuables. FCT minister condemns looting, assures residents of safety
The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Malam Muhammad Bello, has condemned the looting of warehouses at the Idu Industrial Layout, Gwagwalada, and other areas within the territory by hoodlums in search of COVID-19 palliatives. CP: Six policemen killed, five stations razed in Oyo
The Commissioner of Police in Oyo State, Mr Chucks Enwonwu, has said six policemen were killed while five police stations were burnt by hoodlums during the violence that trailed the #EndSARS protest on the state. The CP, who said this at a press briefing in Ibadan on Wednesday, said nine suspects were however arrested in connection with arson and looting in Iseyin, in the Iseyin Local Government Area of the state. #EndSARS: Police confirm attack on station in Ebonyi
The Police Command in Ebonyi has confirmed Thursday’s attack on Uburu Police Station in Ohaozara Local Government Area of the state by suspected hoodlums. The Commissioner of Police in Ebonyi, Mr Philip Maku, said suspected hoodlums attacked some police officers on duty, after which they razed the station down. According to him, some of the police officers sustained several degrees of injuries while trying to manage the situation. The Police Command in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), says it has successfully restored peace along the Kabusa-Apo axis of Abuja after a violent clash between EndSARS and ProSARS protesters. The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the FCT, Marram Yusuf, disclosed this in a statement issued in Abuja on Tuesday. Police rescue man almost lynched by mob for ‘raping’ 13-yr-old boy in Bauchi
The police in Bauchi State have arrested a man who allegedly raped his 13 year old boy. The suspect was also lynched but for the arrival of the police, a witness said. Police Public Relations Officer, Mr Mohammed Wakil, disclosed this in a statement issued to journalists.
