West Ham coach, two players contract coronavirus
West Ham have confirmed that manager David Moyes has tested positive for coronavirus, alongside players Issa Diop and Josh Cullen. “West Ham United can confirm that David Moyes, Issa Diop and Josh Cullen have returned positive tests for COVID-19,” read an official statement. “The club’s medical team were informed of the test results as the team were at London Stadium preparing for Tuesday’s Carabao Cup third round tie against Hull City. “The manager and both players immediately left the stadium and have returned home. “All three, who are asymptomatic, will now follow Public Health England and Premier League guidelines and protocols.” It remains unclear how these three positive tests will affect the side moving forward. Labour plan nationwide protest, strike for Monday

PTF warns against neglect of virus protocols
The Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19 has warned against perceived neglect of the non-pharmaceutical protocols and other measures aimed at tackling the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic in the country. The PTF chairman and Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mr Boss Mustapha, gave the warning at the daily briefing by the PTF on Monday in Abuja. He said that there was increasing disregard for basic non-pharmaceutical measures that have proven to be very successful. ECOWAS Court set to resume from extended vacation on October 7
The ECOWAS Court will be resuming its activities on Oct. 7, after its three months vacation. This is contained in a statement issued in Abuja on Monday by the media office of the justices. The court will deliver judgment in nine cases filed against eight some member states. It added that the cases were also filed against Nigeria’s Cross River State and the ECOWAS Bank for Investment and Development (EBID) and listed in the latest course list released by the Registry of the Court for the period Sept. 25 to Oct. 28. Governor Sanwo-Olu: Pre-primary classes remain closed in Lagos
The Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has said that pre-primary classes in public and private schools across the state are to remain closed until further announcements are made. Sanwo-Olu said this during a press briefing on Saturday, where he gave an update on COVID-19 in the state and gradual resumption of activities.
