Via their flagship festival—where everything that happens is created, curated and hosted by a major house and techno label—the unveiling of Dirtybird’s new...

Look Inside SOMA Tent, the Best Dancefloor at Outside Lands 2022

Not all festivals even try to deliver nine separate stages. In fact, most don’t. Some stages were in open fields and others were tucked away in acoustically advantageous pockets in the sprawling hills of Golden Gate Park. One of the most lovable features of Outside Lands is the emulsion of crowds. In addition to offering ample opportunities to discover new music, when you find your vibe you’re probably not too far from finding your tribe.  Alive Coverage The importance of this relationship doesn’t escape the leadership at Another Planet Entertainment and SuperFly. Just a week ahead of EDC Las Vegas this year, a wonderland for weirdos took place in California’s little city of Modesto. From Online to Big Time: At Dirtybird Records, a New Flock Takes Flight

Like a mother bird keeping her eggs warm, Dirtybird Records has hatched the careers of several DJs in their own proverbial nest over the last 18 months, taking one artist after the next under their wing. Social media helped to hype the label’s newest recruits in the absence of live shows, but few could argue the real magic happened on the online streaming platform Twitch, which seemingly overnight became the heartbeat of the electronic dance music scene during the pandemic. For Dirtybird, their Twitch channel garnered staggering support with more than 7 million viewers tuning in to stream since April 2020, totaling more than 928,000 hours of direct screen time with fans. They also quickly racked up more than 50,000 active followers on the platform, bolstering their digital prese...
