PDP cautions Zamfara governor, lawmakers over plan to defect to APC

The Peoples Democratic Party has cautioned the Governor of Zamfara State, Bello Matawalle, members of the Zamfara State House of Assembly, and those of the National Assembly from the state against defecting to the All Progressives Congress. Newsmen reported that Matawalle will dump the PDP for the APC tomorrow. Reacting, the PDP stated that Matawalle defecting to the APC amounts to a decision to vacate office. Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Mohammed, has approved with immediate effect the dissolution the State Executive Council (SEC). The affected political appointees included the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Chief of Staff (COS) and all Special Advisers except the Special Adviser Security, Special Adviser National and State Assembly Liaison, Special Adviser Social Investment and Special Adviser Media and Publicity. Ebonyi governor sacks over 1,000 board members, aides

Ebonyi State Governor David Umahi has dissolved all boards and commissions in the state with immediate effect. He announced this during his 2021 anniversary day address to the people of the state. Also sacked are management Committee members, liaison officers and local government advisory committee at all the 64 local government areas and 171 wards in the state. Also affected by the sack are all the Executive Assistants, Technical Assistants and Senior Technical Assistants to the governor. Put together, those sacked are over 1000. James Ibori loot: Delta asks federal government to return recovered fund to state

Delta State Government on Tuesday reacted to receipt by the Nigerian government of the £4.2 million first tranche of the Ibori loot from the goverment of the United Kingdom. The state government restated its earlier stand that since the returned money was illegally taken out of Delta’s Treasury, it should appropriately be returned to Delta State. The Imo state governor, Hope Uzodinma, on Wednesday dissolved his members of Executive council members. The Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Declan Emelumba, confirmed this to newsmen in Owerri. Minister dissolves board of sports federation, set up caretaker committee

Barely three months to Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, the Minister of Youth and Sports Federation, Chief Sunday Dare, has dissolved all the boards of 31 National Sports Federations and set up caretaker committees to run the fairs of the federation. Ondo governor dissolves OSOPADEC board

Gov. Rotimi Akeredolu has approved the dissolution of Ondo State Oil Producing Area Development Commission (OSOPADEC) board. This is contained in a statement by the state Acting Governor, Mr Lucky Aiyedatiwa, on Monday in Akure. He directed the most senior officer to take charge of the commission with effect from April 12, pending the reconstitution of the board. “The erstwhile members of the board are hereby directed to hand over all government property in their possession to the secretary of the commission who is the most senior officer,” he said.
