Neil Young Sues Trump Campaign for Copyright Infringement

Over a week after writing that he’s “reconsidering” legal action, it looks like Neil Young is suing the Trump campaign. On his Neil Young Archives website on Tuesday morning, Young posted what appears to be a draft of a lawsuit that claims the Trump campaign did not have a proper license to play two of his songs: “Rockin’ in the Free World” and “Devil’s Sidewalk.” “Plaintiff in good conscience cannot allow his music to be used as a ‘theme song’ for a divisive, un-American campaign of ignorance and hate,” reads the suit, that will be filed in the Southern District of New York. Young’s attorney confirmed to SPIN that the suit has been filed. We also reached out to the Trump campaign for further comment. The d...

Donald Trump Now Okay With Microsoft Buying TikTok After Fake Threat To Ban Social Media App

Source: NurPhoto / Getty Donald Trump is now open to Microsoft purchasing TikTok after initially threatening to ban the social media platform. The orange menace, Donald Trump, is changing his tune when it comes to TikTok. On Friday (Jul.31), Trump announced to the press pool traveling with him on Air Force One that he was going to ban the popular Chinese-owned social media platform. He claimed that he would either carry out the action by using an executive order or emergency powers to stop TikTok from operating in the country. “As far as TikTok is concerned, we’re banning them from the United States,” the bootleg dictator told reporters on the taxpayer-funded jet.  He added, “Well, I have that authority. I can do it with an executive order or that.” TikTok res...

New Trump Campaign Ad Rips Off Bob Dylan, Love Actually

Trump may be slashing environmental regulations, but he remains a firm believer in recycling. His “Make America Great Again” slogan was first used by Ronald Reagan, his current focus on “law and order” is cribbed from Richard Nixon, and his new campaign ad rips off the old silently-flipping-cards trope popularized… Please click the link below to read the full article. Trump to Ban TikTok in the US

Donald Trump intends to ban TikTok in the US as soon as Saturday. Speaking with reporters aboard Air Force One on Friday night, Trump announced he would use emergency economic powers or an executive order to enforce the ban. Trump also said he is against the idea of a US-based company acquiring the Chinese-owned TikTok. Earlier on Friday, it was revealed that Microsoft had entered into negotiations to purchase the popular video sharing app. TikTok is estimated to have upwards of 65 million active users in the US and consistently ranks as among the most downloaded apps on Apple’s App Store. However, US government officials have expressed concerns over the amount of data collected by TikTok compared to other prominent social media platforms, especially given that TikTok is owned by...

Microsoft in Talks to Purchase TikTok

Amid threats that TikTok could soon be banned in the US because of its Chinese ownership, Microsoft has entered into negotiations to purchase the popular video sharing platform, according to the New York Times. Earlier this month, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo indiciated that the Trump Administration was considering banning TikTok, citing security and privacy concerns. On Friday, Trump himself confirmed as much, telling reporters that “We’re looking at TikTok, we may be banning TikTok. We may be doing some other things. There’s a couple of options. But a lot of things are happening, so we’ll see what happens. But we are looking at a lot of alternatives with respect to TikTok.” One possible option under consideration, according to Bloomberg, is to force TikTok to sell off its US opera...

Neil Young Reworks “Lookin’ for a Leader” As Anti-Trump Protest Song: Stream

Neil Young has spent the past few years calling Donald Trump out on his bullshit. However, it looks like the president’s continued unauthorized use of his music has finally pushed Young over the edge, though, because he’s now immortalized his contempt for Trump in a reworked version of “Lookin’ for a Leader”. The song originally appeared on 2006’s Living With War, an album that sharply criticized the George W. Bush administration. With the help of an eraser and some creativity, Young has now updated the lyrics to praise Barack Obama, applaud the Black Lives Matter movement, and rally for Americans to go vote. Along the way, he takes several swipes at the current White House occupant. “America has a leader building walls around our house,” sings Young. “He don’t know Black Lives Matter/ And...

Tiffany Cross Ethers Trump ‘Diversity Director’ On Live Television [Video]

Source: Marla Aufmuth / Getty Politically interview opportunities can either go really well or be too hot to handle. One media personality had time for a Trump staffer. As spotted on Crooks And Liars, a recent episode of AM Joy proved once again why Black women should be celebrated and protected. Tiffany Cross, who was sitting in for regular host Joy Reid, put Bruce LeVell in his place quicker than a real estate agent. In a Q&A that was intended to discuss current-day hot topics, Donald Trump’s Diversity Director found himself in the hot seat when it became clear he is 45’s son. When asked about the POTUS’ failed attempt to course correct the spread of COVID-19 the “National Diversity Coalition” representative claimed that the President is doing an outstanding job with the pa...

Donald Trump’s Plan To Throw Fist Pitch At Yankees Game Falls Apart, He Was Never Invited

Source: Mark Makela / Getty As we’ve painfully learned firsthand over the past few years, Donald Trump is a jack of all trades but unfortunately, none of them serve a useful purpose. The race-baiting-lying-ass grifter who conned and cheated his way into the White House has also proven to be as petty as they come. So when he announced that he would be throwing out the first pitch at a Yankee game during last week’s Coronavirus briefing at the White House, many felt it was his way of one-upping Anthony Fauci throwing the ceremonial first pitch at the Washington National’s Opening Day game in D.C. that same day. But yesterday the man who’s made over 18,000 misleading statements since taking the Presidency in 2017 backed out of the “planned” August 15th ceremonial pitch citing other priorities...

The White House Lied About Paw Patrol Getting Cancelled

On Friday, White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany claimed that the animated children’s show Paw Patrol has been put down, an unfortunate victim of liberal cancel culture run amok. For some small children, this would indeed be ruff rough news, but luckily for them, it’s a lie. The Nickelodeon show is about an elite group of search-and-rescue canines, and like the Village People, each pup has a different job. One works in construction zones, one is a firefighter, one specializes in underwater rescues, and yes, a lone German Shepard works as a police K-9. After George Floyd was brutally murdered by cops, some (mostly joking) Twitter users called for Paw Patrol to turn in its badge. This led to a relatively nuanced piece in the New York Times called “The Protests...
