US judge orders release of Donald Trump’s ex-lawyer Michael Cohen from prison

Agence France-Presse A United States (US) judge ordered the release from prison of President Donald Trump’s former personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, on Thursday, saying he believes the government retaliated against him for planning to release a book about Trump before November’s election. Michael Cohen’s First Amendment rights were violated when he was ordered back to prison on July 9 after probation authorities said he refused to sign a form banning him from publishing the book or communicating publicly in other manners, U.S. District Judge Alvin K. Hellerstein said during a telephone conference. Hellerstein ordered Michael Cohen released from prison by 2 p.m. on Friday. “How can I take any other inference than that it’s retaliatory?” Hellerstein asked prosecutors, who insisted in court pap...

Dave Grohl Defends Teachers, Slams Trump’s “Foolish” School Reopening Plan

Despite a spike in COVID-19 cases around the country, Donald Trump and his administration are keen on reopening schools. The dangerous move will undoubtedly put teachers and children at risk — especially students of color, according to one former CDC director. Teachers have responded with concern, anger, and even lawsuits aimed at the government. Now,  Dave Grohl, former student and the son of a teacher, has been moved to speak up in defense of educators. The Foo Fighters frontman argued on behalf of teachers in a new audio version of his True Stories Instagram series, as well as in a lengthy essay written for The Atlantic. Together with helpful insight from his mother and a former teacher, Virginia, Grohl outlined the importance of “essential worker” teachers and emphasizes the hazar...

Donald Trump orders US census to exclude illegal immigrants in setting Congress numbers

President Donald Trump ordered the US census Tuesday to exclude illegal immigrants in its population count for determining representation in Congress, a move that could boost long-term Republican strength. The unprecedented order challenges the long-accepted constitutional mandate to count every person in the country every 10 years, as the basis for determining representation in the 435 seat House of Representatives. “For the purpose of the reapportionment of representatives following the 2020 census, it is the policy of the United States to exclude from the apportionment base aliens who are not in a lawful immigration status,” Trump’s order said. Excluding undocumented migrants in setting Congressional districts “is more consonant with the principles of representative democracy,” the orde...

Linkin Park Gets Trump’s “In the End” Video Pulled From Twitter

While it may seem like small potatoes compared to all the other crimes he’s committed while in office, Donald Trump has proven himself to be a blatant abuser of artists’ copyrights. Whether on stage at a campaign rally or via a video decimated on Twitter, Trump and his gang of deplorables have routinely play songs against the wishes of the musicians who created them. The latter such example of this occurred on Saturday when Trump tweeted a fan-made campaign video soundtracked by Linkin Park’s “In the End”. As the late Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington previously called Trump “a greater threat to the USA than terrorism,” the band’s surviving members were quick to file a takedown notice with Twitter. Within hours, Twitter obliged with the band’s request, pulling the video from Trump’s ...

Water Is Wet: Donald Trump’s Niece Says She Heard President Use N-Word, Anti-Semitic Slurs

Featuring: Donald Trump Where: Fussa, Tokio, Japan When: 05 Nov 2017 Credit: Kento Nara/Future Image/WENN.com Given Donald Trump‘s well-documented history of racism and bigotry, we all knew that the man-child who referred to Black and Latin countries as “sh*t holes” and said all Haitians had A.I.D.S. must’ve used the N-word throughout his life as much as your favorite rapper. Though he’s yet to be caught on tape using the racial slur (Ronan Farrow where you at?!), his niece, Mary Trump has confirmed that she herself has heard her infamous uncle use the word along with anti-semitic slurs in private. Last night (July16) the least hated Trump in the world sat down with Rachel Maddow...

Racist President Trump Defends Confederate Flag & Cops Killing White Folks Like A Doof

Source: The Washington Post / Getty President Donald Trump, a title he holds mostly in name and not in action, has continued to exhibit that his concerns are to only cater to his base and not all Americans. In a recent interview, the former business mogul not only defended the Confederate flag but also brushed aside the deaths of Black Americans at the hands of police to center white people. Sittig with CBS News in a story that aired this past Tuesday (July 14), Trump rambled on and on about the nation’s spiking COVID-19 problem in states with governors who grovel for his approval and the state of affairs for Black Americans still seeking justice and acknowledgment of the disparate treatment from police in comparison to white Americans. Trump also bafflingly defended the Confederate flag d...

CNN’s Chris Cuomo Calls Donald Trump’s Goya Promo “Bullsh*t” On The Air

Source: AGUSTIN PAULLIER / Getty Looks like CNN’s Chris Cuomo has had enough of Donald Trump’s “bullsh*t!” thanks to his endorsement of Goya products from the Oval Office. Things began last week when a boycott of Goya products began after it’s CEO, Robert Unanue, went to the White House and praised the Racist-In-Chief and called Americans “blessed” for having a “leader like Donald Trump” leading the country straight into a divider. In an effort to further troll his left-wing haters and “own the libs,” Donald Trump took a picture of himself in the Oval office with some Goya products sitting on the Resolute Desk that he probably sent one of the White House gardeners to go fetch. That seemed to be the breaking point for Chris Cuomo as the Coronavirus pandemic continues to rage out of control ...

Kanye West Officially Listed On The Ballot In Oklahoma As Presidential Candidate

Source: The Washington Post / Getty Kanye West hasn’t decided to drop out of the 2020 Presidential Race after all. According to TMZ, Kanye West has indeed continued with his presidential run by officially registering as a candidate. On Thursday (Jul 16), Yeezy completed the first round of paperwork with the Federal Election Commission. Filing out the State of  Candidacy form, Kanye reveals that he met the minimum requirement of raising at least $5000 in campaign-related expenses, which allowed him to officially add his name to the ballot under the federal campaign law. The latest filings mark the second set of forms necessary for West to be added to the national ballot. Since the paperwork was just completed, the “Ultralight Beam” rapper missed the opportunity to be added to...

Kanye West ‘drops out’ of 2020 presidential race

Kanye West has reportedly dropped out of the 2020 presidential race less than two weeks after announcing his bid for the White House. On Tuesday, Steve Kramer, a member of West’s campaign team, told Intelligencer that after amassing a 180-strong campaign team in Florida, the rapper would allegedly no longer be contesting the election. “He’s out,” Kramer said, telling the publication that he was in the process of getting “all our stuff cancelled”. He later added: “I have nothing good or bad to say about Kanye. Any candidate running for president for the first time goes through these hiccups.” According to the report, West had attempted to get his name on the ballot as a third-party candidate, but needed to collect 132,781 signatures by Wednesday (15 July) to be eligible to run in Florida. K...

Kanye West Polling at 2% in First National Poll Since Presidential Announcement

It’s been a little more than a week since Kanye West first announced his presidential candidacy, and the first bit of national polling is in. While Kanye is adamant that he’ll win, going as far to say it’s God’s will, he and the Almighty have a lot of work ahead of him. Redfield & Wilton Strategies surveyed 2,000 registered voters in the US on July 9th and found that only  2% would cast their vote for Kanye. And while some Democrats have expressed concern that Kanye’s entry into the race could take Black and younger votes away from Joe Biden, the poll actually shows the opposite happening. Whereas Biden stays firmly planted at 48%, when Kanye’s name is mentioned, Donald Trump actually loses a percentage point, going from 40% to 39%. Of course, despite his Fourth of July ...

US judge orders delay of first federal executions in 17 years

Associated Press A U.S. judge on Monday ordered a delay in federal executions, hours before one was to be carried out for the first time in 17 years, hampering the Trump administration’s plan to revive capital punishment by the federal government. Washington district Judge Tanya Chutkan issued a preliminary injunction to allow the continuation of legal challenges of four death row inmates against the government’s new lethal injection protocol announced last year. “The public is not served by short-circuiting legitimate judicial processes,” she wrote in an order. The Department of Justice immediately appealed the ruling. The department planned to carry out the first executions at a federal level since 2003 over the next few weeks, starting with Daniel Lewis Lee, who is convicted of murder, ...
