Howard Stern Responds to Donald Trump Jr. Bringing Up Old Blackface Sketch

Howard Stern and Donald Trump Jr. Howard Stern used to be close buds with Donald Trump, having him and members of his family as guests on his show numerous times over the years. His alliances have clearly changed, as he’s called Trump’s initial campaign for president a publicity stunt while also encouraging his supporters to drink bleach. That turn of opinion has raised the ire of Donald Trump Jr., who called Stern out over the weekend for an old bit he did in which he wore blackface and used the n-word repeatedly. Now, the shock jock has responded on his SiriusXM morning show. For context, the 1993 sketch in question aired during a New Year’s Eve pay-per-view special. Stern was lampooning Ted Danson, who had worn blackface to a Friar’s Club roast with his then-girlfrie...

Jon Stewart Discusses Police Brutality and FOX News in New Interview

With all that’s going on in the world, there’s no better time for the return of Jon Stewart. The former Daily Show host is back making the media rounds for his new movie, Irresistible, coming to PVOD on June 26th. Given the political nature of the film and the socio-political landscape it’s being released into, it’s no surprise Stewart has a lot to say about the current state of things. In a new interview with The New York Times, he touched on everything from Trump to police brutality to FOX News, all with his usual intelligence and nuance. Some might wish Stewart would return to the televised political comedy and commentary scene, but even if he were to return (he’s certainly not eager to) it wouldn’t be like The Daily Show. He praised the show’s current host, Trevor Noah, ...

Village People Ask Trump to Stop Playing “Macho Man” and “Y.M.C.A.” at Rallies

The Village People have asked Donald Trump to stop using their music at rallies, particularly legendary gay anthems “Y.M.C.A.” and “Macho Man”, following his public threats to shoot protestors and looters. Earlier this week, the band’s longtime leader, Victor Willis, released a statement saying the President’s recent comments have pushed him to his breaking point, reports Stereogum. “If Trump orders the U.S. military to fire on his own citizens (on U.S. soil), Americans will rise up in such numbers outside of the White House that he might be forced out of office prior to the election. Don’t do it Mr. President!” Willis wrote on his personal Facebook. “And I ask that you no longer use any of my music at your rallies especially “Y.M.C.A.” and “Macho Man.” Sorry, but I can no longer look the ...

Twitter Suspends Account that Posts Exact Copies of Trump’s Tweets

Image sourced from Al Jazeera In an attempt to prove that social media giant Twitter is more than lenient when it comes to its A-list users, an account under the name ‘@SuspendThePress’ copied and posted US President Donald Trump’s tweets. This account will tweet what the President tweets. Let’s see if it gets suspended for violating twitters TOS. Follow along with this social experiment. Report any tweets that violate the rules. Thank you. — Will they suspend me? (@SuspendThePres) May 30, 2020 This experiment comes shortly after US President Donald Trump threatened to regulate or even “close down” social media platforms – after a number of his tweets were branded as containing misleading information. According to TechWeez, the owner of the account “wanted to see how long it would tak...

Krist Novoselic Praises Trump for “Strong and Direct” Law and Order Speech

On Monday afternoon, Donald Trump emerged from his underground bunker and made his first public comments on the death of George Floyd and the subsequent protests filling city streets. Well, sort of. Trump only made a passing reference to Floyd’s death, and he failed to mention police brutality, institutional racism, and other societal issues that have allowed such tragedies to become commonplace in America. Instead, Trump threatened to illegally unleash the United States Military on American citizens. Then, after police gassed peaceful protestors, Trump walked to a nearby church for a bizarre photo shoot. The whole thing was one of the more disturbing moments in the three-and-a-half year history of Trump’s presidency, which is really saying something. But there’s at least one person w...

‘Anonymous’ Hacktivists Attack and Take Down United Nations Website

After hacking and taking down the Minneapolis Police Department website, the Anonymous hacker-group continued their protest spree and hacked the United Nations website, taking down a part of the site – the United Nations Civil Society Participation website – and replacing it with an image protesting the death of Minneapolis native George Floyd. Hacktivists protest by hacking a United Nations webpage. Floyd was killed by police officer Derek Chauvin – while in custody – who restrained Floyd with a knee to the back of the neck. Floyd was handcuffed and unarmed at the time. Riots were sparked across the United States and even other countries as footage of the incident was released online. The group posted a video to another hacked page with a message to the police of Minneapolis. “This traves...

Man-Child Donald Trump Reacts BIGLY By Signing “Useless” Excutive Order That Targets Social Media

Source: Pool / Getty Donald Trump is not here for being fact-checked when he puts out false or misleading information. Yesterday (May.28), the man-child, Donald Trump, reacted BIGLY to Twitter fact-checking his fugazi tweets that inaccurately stated “widespread fraud” takes place with mail-in voting. Doing what he does best, he signed an executive order that put tech companies like Facebook, Twitter, and Google as well as the internet law that gives them legal immunity from the content users may share on their platforms. We also want to point out Trump’s response to Twitter was much faster than his response to battling COVID-19. Anyway, at the White House, in the Oval Office where he does nothing, Trump said, “We’re fed up with it,” before he signed the executive order. He also added: “Tha...

Don Lemon Tee’s Off On “Birther-In-Chief” Donald Trump “No One Wants To Hear From” [Video]

Source: Jared Siskin / Getty Donald Trump’s illustrious history of racism has been well-documented in both print and social media over the decades. From his death penalty calls for the Central Park Five to his Birther Conspiracy suggesting President Barack Obama wasn’t an American, Cheeto Jesus has proven time and time again that he isn’t too fond of people of color. Now that he’s trying to weigh in on the murder of George Floyd in his own half-assed way, CNN’s Don Lemon has had enough and took to the airwaves to call out the Racist-In-Chief and his administration for attempting to get involved in the protests and riots engulfing Minneapolis. After U.S. Attorney Erica MacDonald held a news conference on Thursday (May 28) in which she seemed pleased to have personally spoken to U.S. Attorne...

Taylor Swift Eviscerates Trump for “Stoking the Fires of White Supremacy and Racism”

Last year, Taylor Swift vowed to be more politically active, especially during the 2020 Election cycle. Keeping her promise, the pop megastar has just eviscerated Donald Trump in her very first public tweet to mention him by name. “After stoking the fires of white supremacy and racism your entire presidency, you have the nerve to feign moral superiority before threatening violence?” she wrote on Twitter on Friday. “‘When the looting starts the shooting starts’??? “We will vote you out in November. @realdonaldtrump” After stoking the fires of white supremacy and racism your entire presidency, you have the nerve to feign moral superiority before threatening violence? ‘When the looting starts the shooting starts’??? We will vote you out in November. @realdonaldtrump — Taylor Swift (@taylorswi...

Donald Trump sends national guard to Minneapolis to stop protesters

US President Donald Trump has sent in National Guard to Minneapolis to help restore peace and tranquility in the city. Earlier this morning protesters stormed Minneapolis police station and set the building ablaze, following the alleged killing of an African-American man, George Floyd by a police officer. Having seen the damages done by these protesters and having waited enough for Jacob Frey, the Mayor of city to restore peace, Trump therefore, called in National Guard to take action and bring peace to the city. His words: “I can’t stand back and watch this happen to a great American City, Minneapolis. A total lack of leadership. Either the very weak Radical Left Mayor, Jacob Frey, get his act together and bring the City under control, or I will send in the National Guard and get the job ...

Donald Trump Signs Executive Order Targetting Social Media Companies

Sourced from Deadline. United States President Donald Trump has signed a controversial executive order that could allow federal officials in the US to go after technology giants like Twitter, Facebook and Google over how those companies treat content that appears on their websites. The president, whom The Independent claims, has uttered “thousands of false or misleading statements” since taking office, complained as he signed the missive that social media firms have, what he called, “unchecked power,” adding: “Imagine if your phone company edited or silenced your conversations.” Trump signed the order two days after Twitter, for the first time, placed a link on a pair of Trump’s tweets that guided users to news articles that fact-checked his statements about mail-in-ballots. The Independen...

Twitter Flags Trump Tweet for Glorifying Violence

Twitter has taken the unprecedented step of flagging a tweet from Donald Trump, saying it violated the platform’s rules against glorifying violence. Early Friday morning, as protests boiled over in Minneapolis over the murder of an unarmed black man, George Floyd, by police, Trump sent out an especially incendiary tweet threatening violence against protestors. “These thugs are dishonoring the memory of George Floyd, and I won’t let that happen,” Trump tweeted. Just spoke to [Minnesota] Governor Tim Waltz and told him that the Military is with him all the way. Any difficulty and we will assume control but, when the lotting starts, the shooting starts. Thank you!” Twitter subsequently added a warning label to Trump’s tweet, which prevented users from viewing it without first reading a brief ...
