The Blues are yet to give the go-ahead for the proposed deal, but Romano reports that the 23-year-old is prioritising a move to Stefano Pioli’s side. SL view: Tomori had a bright breakthrough ...

For 26 years, Manchester United were managed by one of, if not the greatest coach to ever touch the game. Sir Alex Ferguson guided the Red Devils to 13 league titles, two Champions Leagues, and many other domestic trophies. You’d think that those who played under him would have picked up a thing or two from his tutelage, and gone on to be successful managers themselves. Well, football isn’t always that simple. Wayne Rooney is the latest of Fergie’s disciples to take the leap into management, taking charge at Derby County. How will he fare? I guess we’ll find out. But here is how other former Man Utd players have done during their managerial days. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer Solskjaer is currently in charge at Manchester United Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took over at Old Trafford during a turbulent spel...

Leeds United have also been linked with Nzola, but it doesn’t appear that the Elland Road outfit are keen on pursuing a deal during the January transfer window given the plethora of attacking options available at the disposal of head coach Marcelo Bielsa. Sportslens View West Ham are looking to bring in a replacement for Sebastien Haller before the end of the month, and that could see them make a firm move for the Frenchman in the coming days. Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Adama Traore has been linked with a move away from the Premier League club this month. According to Spanish publication Sport, the player could look to leave this month in search of regular first-team football. Wolves paid €20 million for Traore back in 2018, but they now want double that figure for a player who is contracted until the summer of 2023. It is understandable why they want a sizeable profit on the winger, especially after his performances last season. SL ...

Marcelo Bielsa has provided his full support to Leeds United goalkeeper Kiko Casilla despite his horrendous performance against Crawley Town on Sunday. Leeds lost 3-0 against Crawley in the FA Cup clash on Sunday. It was a shambolic performance from most of the Leeds players on the pitch, including Casilla. Illan Meslier is the club’s first-choice keeper and the young French stopper has conceded a lot of goals, still learning to adjust to the Premier League. There have been suggestions that Bielsa could try young Elia Caprile, but Bielsa has made it clear that Casilla retains his full trust. you get the feeling that Bielsa thinks Casilla served his punishment and should be allowed to move forward or put it behind him. Has a very high opinion of him, despite that. But in reality, sections o...
The news that French broadcaster Canal+ has handed back its media rights to Ligue 1 and called for a fresh bidding process could have major ramifications across Europe. The company was due to screen two games per week under the terms of a sub-license agreement with beIN Media, but this has now been cancelled. Canal+ President Maxime Saada told Le Figaro that Ligue 1 ‘has been subsidised for many years’ and that ‘no broadcaster has succeeded in making it profitable’. Saada also argued that with fixtures involving major clubs like Paris Saint-Germain being more lucrative than other matches, the media rights deal should reflect this. “There is only one way to objectively and transparently materialise the market value of Ligue 1, and that is the call for tenders,” he said. “We are going to off...
