Former England striker Peter Crouch has shared his verdict on Paul Pogba’s situation at Manchester United while replying to a question in his Daily Mail column. Last week, Pogba’s agent, Mino Raiola, dropped a huge bombshell claiming that the Frenchman won’t extend his deal at the Old Trafford club, hinting that his future lies away from the Premier League club. The 27-year-old struggled to make an impact under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, but he has been playing well in recent matches. While he is yet to return to his best form, Pogba is, at least, showing some consistency which should delight the United boss. Pogba started in the Manchester derby that ended 0-0 at Old Trafford on Saturday. After the match, he took to Instagram to address the situation, claiming he is ‘1000%’ committed to t...
Leeds have now suffered back to back defeats in the Premier League, but they have a chance to return to winning ways in the midweek. The Whites lost 3-1 against Chelsea and suffered a 2-1 defeat at home against West Ham on Saturday. They now face Newcastle United – who are heading into this match on the back of a 2-1 win against West Brom – on Wednesday night at Elland Road. Leeds find themselves 14th in the Premier League, and have managed just one win at home thus far. There have been suggestions that opposition teams have found a way to counter Leeds’s style, while some pundits have even questioned Bielsa’s odd strategy of naming his team out publicly before the match against the Hammers. Ahead of the clash against the Magpies, Bielsa has revealed that he would refrain from naming...
Another weekend of Premier League football has gone by. And, as ever, there’s plenty of incidents to dissect. It was a largely frustrating weekend for the neutrals. Tottenham Hotspur were held to a 1-1 draw at Crystal Palace on Sunday after Jeffrey Schlupp’s 81st-minute equaliser cancelled out Harry Kane’s opener. The Spurs striker had put the visitors ahead 23 minutes into the game following a fine shot from 30 yards that left Palace goalkeeper Vicente Guaita helpless, but the shot-stopper was on hand to deny Jose Mourinho’s men on several occasions with some incredible saves. The Spaniard kept Tottenham at bay with three excellent stops in the opening 20 minutes of the clash to deny Tanguy Ndombele, Sergio Reguilon and Kane from opening the scoring, but he couldn’t stop the Spurs star from finding the back of the net after being caught out by a long-range swerving attempt. While Guaita could arguably have done better, Kane’s effort was too much for ...
Leeds United and West Ham United are thought to be keen on signing Milton Keynes Dons’ starlet Matthew Sorinola. The talented young full-back has made quite an impression this season and he could prove to be a quality long term investment for the two Premier League clubs. According to Team Talk, the likes of Newcastle United are interested in the young defender as well and it will be interesting to see if they can lure him away from Milton Keynes in the coming months. Matthew Sorinola has a big future ahead of him and needs to join a club where he can play regular first-team football and continue his development. The youngster is highly talented but he is not ready for Premier League football just yet and therefore his suitors should look to sign him and then loan him back to Milton Keynes...
Juventus midfielder Sami Khedira has been linked with a move to the Premier League and it seems that Everton are a potential destination. The former World Cup winner has fallen down the pecking order at the Italian club and he is no longer a key first-team option for manager Andrea Pirlo. The 77-cap German international needs to move away from Juventus in order to play more often and a transfer to Everton might be a good option for him. The midfielder has already worked with Carlo Ancelotti during their time together at Real Madrid and the Italian manager could help him regain his form and confidence at Everton now. The 33-year-old has recently admitted that he has spoken to the Everton manager on the phone and has also revealed that he is open to a new challenge at this stage of his caree...
English Premier League leaders Tottenham Hotspur visit Crystal Palace today for another London derby, and they will look to maintain their position at the top of the table with a victory. Spurs haven’t lost a league game since their defeat at the hands of Everton on the opening day of the 2020-21 campaign, and they will be keen to secure all three points today to keep their title charge going. Palace ran riot last time out, handing West Bromwich Albion a 5-1 defeat and they will fancy their chances of giving Tottenham a run for their money with their attackers on top form. The Eagles have five victories, a draw and five losses in the Premier League so far this term, and we never know which version of them will turn up at Selhurst Park this afternoon. A fierce clash could be on the cards as...
According to The Sun, Wolverhampton Wanderers are eyeing a move for Dalian Professional striker Salomon Rondon when the winter transfer window opens next month. Nuno Espirito Santo’s side are set to be without Raul Jimenez for a large chunk of the season after he fractured his skull in a collision with Arsenal centre-back David Luiz, and they will look to bring in a short-term cover in January as they have 18-year-old Fabio Silva as their only senior striker. Rondon spent four seasons in the English Premier League with West Bromwich Albion and Newcastle United, scoring 35 goals in 140 appearances, and he could be a perfect addition to the Wolves’ attack. The 31-year-old currently earns £150,000-a-week with the Chinese Super League side and has scored 14 goals in 27 league goals since joini...
Arsenal target Dominik Szoboszlai has decided to join German side Red Bull Leipzig, according to Sky Sports Germany. The Gunners have been interested in the Hungary international for over a year and were keen on bringing him to the Emirates in the January transfer window. Bayern Munich and Real Madrid were understood to be interested in signing the player next summer. Despite interest from these clubs, the 20-year-old has made up his mind and is set to move to RB Leipzig, the sister club of his current side Red Bull Salzburg. Szoboszlai has a release clause which is believed to be £23 million. He was expected to make a decision on whether he wanted to leave the Austrian side in January or stay with them until the end of the season by December 15th but it looks like he has made up his...

Leeds United suffered back-to-back defeats after being beaten 2-1 by West Ham at Elland Road on Friday night. The Whites took an early lead through Mateusz Klich who scored from the spot after Patrick Bamford was brought down by Lukas Fabianski. It needed help from VAR, although David Moyes said after the match that the officials are making “terrible decisions”. The first effort from Klich was tame and it was easily saved by Fabianski. However, VAR suggested that Fabianski was off the line when the kick was taken, allowing Klich to re-take the penalty. Klich didn’t make any mistake in the second attempt. They can notice Fabianski is an inch off his line but can’t see Bamford is a couple of yards inside the penalty area before Klich re-takes the penalty 🤨 I̵...
Leeds United suffered a 2-1 defeat against West Ham in the Premier League clash at Elland Road on Friday night. It was a lacklustre performance from the home side, and the Hammers deserve the credit for securing all three points after coming from behind. The victory has taken them to fifth in the league table. Bielsa took off Jack Harrison and Ezgjan Alioski on the break. It looked like a smart decision, although Helder Costa hardly had any impact after coming on. In the 74th minute, Bielsa took off Patrick Bamford, and he was replaced by Tyler Roberts. It left many Leeds fans puzzled as to why Bielsa didn’t use Pablo Hernandez when the Spaniard was available on the bench. After the match, the Argentine explained that he wanted Roberts to play up front. Roberts failed to make an...
