GDIU was actually signed to the legendary Cold Chillin’ records by the late Biz Markie, who would produce his debut album, Smooth Assassin. Reports TMZ: Legendary hip hop producer Pete Rock, a longtime advocate for GDIU’s skills as a lyricist, revealed to his followers the Queens-born rapper died peacefully in his sleep. Thanks for Coming, the solo project of Water From Your Eyes’ Rachel Brown, has announced they’ve signed to Danger Collective and a new album is on the way. Garorock Festival 2023 to Feature Skrillex, Fred again.. and More
A French music festival has landed a few of electronic music’s biggest names for its 2023 edition. The organizers of Garorock, one of France’s premier electronic and rock festivals, recently celebrated the event’s 20th anniversary. And they’re meeting the moment next year after revealing the first artists on the 2023 lineup for the four-day fest fest, which returns to the Plaine de la Filhole next summer. Garorock 2023 will feature performances by Skrillex, David Guetta, Boris Brejcha, Fred again.. and I Hate Models. Also on tap are sets from Macklemore and Tash Sultana, among others. The Puerto Rican artist has set the world record for the highest grossing tour in a calendar year, amassing $435.38 million USD across 81 shows. Young Dolph’s Team To Posthumously Release His Completed LP ‘Paper Route Frank’
Shortly before his tragic death, Young Dolph had wrapped up work on his ninth studio album, Paper Route Frank. The project’s title makes reference to the label Dolph owned and operated, Paper Route Empire. Last month on November 17 — the one-year anniversary of the Memphis rapper’s death — Dolph’s team announced that they would be posthumously releasing the final full-length project he created during his lifetime. A little less than a month later, the tracklist for Paper Route Frank is out.
