Flying Lotus Announces New Sci-Fi Horror Film Ash

Flying Lotus has announced his second feature film, as Deadline notes. He will direct the forthcoming sci-fi horror flick Ash, which centers on a woman who “wakes up on a distant planet and finds the crew of her space station viciously killed,” as stated in press materials. Production for Ash is scheduled to begin this summer. The film will feature an original score composed by Flying Lotus, too. “I’ve a strong desire to innovate in the sci-fi space and I really want to show the world something they’ve never seen before,” Flying Lotus said of the movie in a press release. Rihanna-Led Foundation Pledges $15 Million to Climate Justice Organizations

Rihanna’s Clara Lionel Foundation (named after her grandparents) has pledged to donate $15 million to various climate justice organizations in the United States and the Caribbean, The Associated Press reports. The funds will be spread between 18 different organizations, including the Climate Justice Alliance, the Movement for Black Lives, the Indigenous Environmental Network, the Black Feminist Fund, the Caribbean Youth Environment Network, and more. FKA twigs has unveiled the new visuals for her track “Jealous” feat. Rema. The song is featured in the artist’s current Caprisongs mixtape which was released earlier this month on January 14. The British vocalist throws it back to the vintage ’80s era with the visuals. The video is directed by Aidan Zamiri and is choreographed by the artist’s longtime collaborator Kash Powell.
