Grizzly Bear’s Daniel Rossen has announced his first-ever solo album. It’s called You Belong There and it’s due out April 8 via Warp. He’s breaking the news by also sharing the lead single, “Shadow in the Frame.” Check it out below. Spanning 10 tracks, You Belong There explores the “uncharted territory of adulthood” that follows the restlessness of youth, according to a press release. The album follows Rossen’s lone solo EP, 2012’s Silent Hour/Golden Mile, and the 2018 single “Deerslayer.” Grizzly Bear’s last album, Painted Ruins, came out in 2017. In support of the new record, Rossen will embark on a tour of North America, the United Kingdom, and Europe this spring. Ye, the artist formerly known as Kanye West, wants the final say on how he’ll be represented in Jeen-Yuhs, a three-part documentary about his life and career. The documentary is scheduled to premiere at the Sundance Film Festival, followed by a release on Netflix in February. In an Instagram post on Friday, Ye “kindly” requested editorial control over the project. “I’m going to say this kindly for the last time,” Ye wrote. “I must get final edit and approval on this doc before it releases on Netflix. Live Nation revealed on Thursday (Jan. 20) that the Down Under shows originally set for November 2020 have been officially canceled.
