Jon Lind, Grammy-Nominated Songwriter, Dies at 73
Jon Lind, who co-wrote such hits as Earth, Wind & Fire’s “Boogie Wonderland,” Madonna’s “Crazy For You” and Vanessa Williams’ “Save the Best for Last,” died on Saturday (Jan. 15) following a two-year cancer battle. Hazel O’Connor Hospitalized Following a Bleed on Brain
Hazel O’Connor, the veteran British singer and songwriter, is recovering from a brain bleed. The 66-year-old Coventry native was admitted to hospital Jan. 9 after being found in her home in south-west France having suffered a “serious medical event.” The following day, “things were touch and go” and the “next 24 hours would determine how her recovery may go,” reads an update posted on social media by her brother Neil O’Connor. Rumors of the songstress’ Euphoria contribution began circulating earlier this month, but neither HBO, the showrunners nor Del Rey confirmed the news.
