Earl Sweatshirt has shared a music video for “Titanic,” a single off of his new LP Sick!. The song was produced by the rapper’s frequent collaborator, the Detroit-based Black Noi$e Directed by Rodney Passe, the video follows Earl Sweatshirt riding through the city leaning out the back of his car. New Nick Cave and Warren Ellis Documentary Announced
Nick Cave has announced a forthcoming documentary titled This Much I Know to Be True depicting his creative partnership with longtime collaborator and Bad Seed Warren Ellis. The film “captures Nick Cave and Warren Ellis’ exceptional creative relationship as they bring to life the songs from albums Ghosteen and Carnage,” Cave posted on his official Instagram account earlier this week. The film will be directed by Andrew Dominik, who also helmed the 2016 Nick Cave doc One More Time with Feeling. This Much I Know to Be True is scheduled for release later this year. Ralph Emery, Country Music Broadcaster and Hall of Fame Member, Dies at 88
Ralph Emery, a longtime country music broadcaster and a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame, has died. He was 88. Emery’s passing was first reported on Saturday (Nov. 15) by the Tennessean, with a statement from his family that said he “passed away peacefully” that morning at Tristar Centennial Medical Center in Nashville. His cause of death has not been revealed. Emery, born in 1933 in McEwen, Tennessee, had a successful career in the country music industry for more than 50 years, working in radio before shifting to television. Known as the dean of country music broadcasters, he was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2007 and the Country Music Disc Jockey Hall of Fame in 1989. The Voice of Holland, the original version of the global hit singing competition format, has been pulled off the air amid allegations of “very serious and shocking” sexual misconduct by members of the show’s production staff, according to a statement from its Dutch broadcaster. Jeroen Rietbergen, the show’s bandleader, resigned Saturday (Jan. 15) in a statement released to Dutch news service ANP.
