Four days removed from dropping his highly-anticipated fifth studio album Dawn FM, The Weeknd is continuing his promotional initiatives by dropping his latest music video for “Gasoline.” The track is another pop-focused and upbeat number that has production assistance from Matt Cohn, Max Martin and Oscar Holter, and the accompanying video — directed by Matilda Finn — exhibits the Toronto artist navigating his way through a creepy dance club. The nearly five minute clip opens up with ants crawling creepily around The Weeknd’s earphone-plugged ears as he drives through recklessly through a storm and eventually crashes into a do not enter sign. In similar fashion to the “Sacrifice” video, the scene transitions into a dark and deranged dance party where the pop crooner encounters his older sel...
It’s a New Year and Jimmy Fallon is clearly enjoying his new NBC show, That’s My Jam. On Monday night’s episode, The Tonight Show host roped-in a starry lineup for a round of “Slay It Don’t Spray It,” a game which puts contestants’ lyrical skills to the test. Henson and pop star Normani. It didn’t start so well for Normani and Taraji, who tackled Jennifer Lopez’s “Waiting for Tonight.” It didn’t end well either, as both were slammed with water. Ye (formerly known as Kanye West) dropped the stark video for the Donda track “Heaven and Hell” on Monday night (Jan. 10), debuting the monochromatic clip during a commercial break in the College Football Playoff national championship game between the Georgia Bulldogs and Alabama Crimson Tide. Explore See latest videos, charts and news The game-break timing made sense, since the nearly three-minute visual ends with a plug for Ye’s mass market fashion line Yeezy Gap, with the $80 unisex black (or blue) hoodie he sports in the video available for purchase after the ad run. In keeping with the song’s dark, grinding vibe, the action takes place in a dystopian city peopled by figures in the black hoodies and the style of face-obscuring mask the rapper has taken to wearing over the past year. “N...
