The Walkmen Add 2023 Reunion Concerts
The Walkmen are adding to their 2023 reunion tour. After playing a number of shows at New York’s Webster Hall, they’ll perform in Philadelphia, Chicago, and Washington, D.C. The band will also take the stage at Atlanta’s Shaky Knees Festival. Find the Walkmen’s tour schedule below. SZA’s New Album SOS Features Phoebe Bridgers, Ol’ Dirty Bastard, and More
At long last, SZA is getting ready to release her new album, SOS. As she continues to share details, she’s revealed the record’s tracklist: The album spans 23 songs and has guest appearances from Phoebe Bridgers, Don Toliver, SZA’s “Love Galore” collaborator Travis Scott, and the late Wu-Tang Clan rapper Ol’ Dirty Bastard. Adding fuel to the fire, the songstress has just released a snippet of a new track, “Nobody Gets Me.” If love-filled songs get you choked up, this one is for you. The 30-second teaser offers a quick glimpse at the romantic ballad filled with emotion and a steady guitar strum. “How am I supposed to tell you/I don’t wanna see you with anyone but me/Nobody gets me like you/How am I supposed to let you go/Only like myself when I’m with you/Nobody gets me/ You do,” sings SZA in the chorus. The Red Hot Chili Peppers announced the dates for their 2023 world tour on Monday morning (Dec. 5), a massive outing that will have the veteran pop rock funkers playing a mix of stadium and festival dates. The 23-date tour is support of the two studio albums the Chili Peppers released this year, Unlimited Love and Return of the Dream Canteen, is slated to kick off on March 29 with a show at BC Place in Vancouver and feature stops in Las Vegas, Minneapolis, San Diego and Phoenix, as well as a slot at the Hangout Music Festival in Gulf Shores, Alabama on May 19. By 1987, Belinda Carlisle had become a chart mainstay. Five years earlier, she and her Los Angeles pop-punk band The Go-Go’s became the first all-female group to top the Billboard 200 when their debut album, Beauty and the Beat, spent six weeks at No. 1 in 1982. The same year, the quintet followed with the top 10 LP Vacation and, in 1984, the top 20 Talk Show. SoundCloud has linked up with Third & Hayden, the Atlanta management and services company founded by music exec Kei Henderson, for a joint venture, the companies announced today (Dec. 5). The new venture will see Third & Hayden signing new acts to its label and developing them with the help of SoundCloud’s services division, which will provide marketing, A&R, distribution and promotion support, as well as financial backing. The first two acts to sign to the new venture are Los Angeles singer/songwriter Jordan Hawkins and Atlanta-based rapper Key!. A$AP Rocky has shared a music video for his new single “Shittin’ Me,” which dropped via A$AP Worldwide, Polo Grounds Music and RCA Records on Friday. Directed by Grin Machine, the visual opens with a hazy panoramic scan of what looks like to the aftermath of a night out before cutting to Rocky in the boardroom.
