Playboi Carti’s rap prodigee Destroy Lonely has released the deluxe project, NS+ (ULTRA), NS being an acronym for his August album No Stylist. On the expanded LP, the 21-year-old Atlanta rapper flexes his stretchy, high-pitched vocals and penchant for synths that sound like they’re straight out of an 80s-era video game. Born Bobby Sandimanie III, Destroy Lonely began putting out music on SoundCloud at the age of seventeen, eventually landing among a niche but loyal listenership with his 2019 single “Bane.” He met fellow ATL rapper Carti in 2021, who tapped Destroy Lonely as a signee for his Opium label. Among his inspirations for the NS+ (ULTRA), Destroy Lonely cites The Cure, Deftones, Lil Wayne and more. ‘NS+ (ULTRA) leads with the eerie and futuristic “JETLGGED” and listeners can hear t...

HipHopWired Featured Video CLOSE Source: Sean Gardner / Getty We haven’t seen a situation whoop people’s a**** like this Kyrie Irving one. Jaylen Brown has been very vocal after the Brooklyn Nets suspended Irving, but he is eating crow this time. After fulfilling the so-called “emasculating” conditions the Brooklyn Nets imposed on him, Kyrie Irving returned to the court on Sunday, November 20. His return wasn’t without some theatrics, while Irving was just focused on basketball after dropping not one but two heartfelt apologies. Outside of the Barclays Center, there was plenty of noise being made. Membership has its privileges. Especially when you’re part of Klub Kardashian. That might explain how Kim Kardashian and Ye‘s daughter North West, 9, got a special audience with Lizzo at the singer/rapper’s final Special Tour stop on Saturday at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California. Not only did North seemingly get some premium seats for the gig — sharing footage from the show on her TikTok, on which the tween can be heard shouting, “Lizzo!” — but she also got a backstage audience with the Twerk Queen. In another video posted on the TikTok account she shares with her mom, North and her pal Ryan chill in a backstage corridor with Lizzo, with all three wearing hot pink tops as they bust out the choreo from the viral “Get Sturdy” dance. After the girls got things going with the trend’s sign...

HipHopWired Featured Video Source: Prince Williams / Getty Elon Musk is just letting everyone back on Twitter. The artist formerly known as Kanye West marked his return to the platform by tweeting “Shalom” and he double-tasked by “crashing” ComplexCon, too. In case you missed, Ye got himself banned from Twitter, prior to Elon Musk’s purchase, thanks to his antisemitic rhetoric. Since Phony Stark recently reinstated Donald Trump’s Twitter account, things like gatekeeping racism and antisemitism are no longer a priority. So on Sunday evening (Nov. 20), Ye marked his return by tweeting the Hebrew greeting “Shalom.” Although Ye infamously tried to clean up his antisemitism by claiming he is actually a Jew himself, we’d guess that’s the extent of his knowledge of Hebrew. Actually, he first twee...
HipHopWired Featured Video Source: MEGA / Getty The Ls keep on coming for AntismeYE, aka Kanye West. Kano, the company behind the Stem Player many believed the rapper “invented,” is no longer working with West. Company founder Alex Klein, who is also half-Jewish, revealed in a brief interview with The Los Angeles Times that his company cut ties with Kanye West. Klein confirmed the rapper’s penchant for pushing “racial conspiracy theories” as the sole reason Kano decided enough was enough and dropped Ye like a bad habit. “There’s no deal in place,” Klein said. “I asked Kanye not to take the path he’s on,” he said, “We’ve told him that we’re unable to work together while he’s putting out racial conspiracy theories.” Klein also noted that he and West had other issues during their partnership ...
