HipHopWired Featured Video Source: Joshua Bright / Joshua Bright The mass exodus from Twitter continues. Balenciaga is the latest brand to leave the platform. As per Hypebeast, Balenciaga is no longer on the social media app and all signs are pointing that the recent move is due largely in part to its new ownership by Elon Musk. This exit is not the first, and probably not the last, notable brand to leave or totally divest as companies like General Motors have decided not to use the tool to communicate to consumers. Additionally, some high-profile celebrities have deactivated their accounts as well, including Whoopi Goldberg, Gigi Hadid and Toni Braxton. Back in October, Musk finally bought out Twitter and since then the acquisition has left a poor impression on a large number of their use...
HipHopWired Featured Video CLOSE Source: Paras Griffin / Getty B. Simone has carved out a healthy career for herself as an influencer, actress and member of the Wild N Out crew. Apparently, her busy schedule means she’s not able to shower daily We kid you not—she said this herself on her podcast—The Know For Sure Pod with co-host Megan Brooks. In case you think this tidbit of info was taken out of context, the receipts, via a clip you can see below, are clear as day. Apparently, if she showers on a Monday morning, she might not wash again until like Wednesday, maybe Thursday. She does say no one is “down there” in reference to a potential significant other getting a whiff of her private parts. Nevertheless, man alive. Did we need to know this, though? Also, B. Simone is known for talking o...
HipHopWired Featured Video Source: SOPA Images / Getty Since Elon Musk officially closed the deal to purchase Twitter, he has laid off a number of executives, watched his newly acquired platform suffer a “massive drop in revenue,” and watched racial slur usage on Twitter rise like Confederate flags at a MAGA potluck. Now, Phony Stark aka Lex Loser aka Apartheid Vader has issued an ultimatum to Twitter employees warning them to commit to a new “hardcore” Twitter or they can leave the company with severance pay. Now, Musk is being dragged up and down the platform he bought last month as people do not appear to be too excited about “Twitter 2.0.” From the Washington Post: Twitter is shifting to an engineer-driven operation — one that “will need to be extremely hardcore” going forward, accordi...
Drake and 21 Savage have shared a “recap” video for their Her Loss single “Rich Flex.” Rather than a typical music video, the promo is a grainy montage of home video footage captured largely by Drake using a camcorder, offering viewers a look into what he and 21 have been up to over the past few months. After hitting the club, where 21 shows off his new grill and Drake flexes his watch to the camera, the rappers take a taxi through the busy streets of New York. They keep it moving with another method of transportation, the infamous “Air Drake.” The video cuts to New Orleans, where Drake made a surprise appearance at last month’s Lil Weezyana fest to perform “She Will” with Weezy, alongside a few of his solo tracks. Later scenes from the video flick between NBA games, concerts, parties, a b...
In honor of the upcoming 2022 FIFA World Cup, EA Sports revisited the last 25 years of their soundtracks to create the “Ultimate FIFA Soundtrack.” Known for their fantastic and often electronic-heavy soundtracks, EA Sports is using the World Cup festivities to celebrate the sounds of 25 years of their industry-leading game. Live now in FIFA 23 is a new gameplay update inspired by this year’s World Cup in Qatar, which allows players to reenact the upcoming tournament, enter online competitions, add their own countries who did not make the cut and more. Earlier in the month, the game’s developers asked fans to share their favorite songs from the long-running FIFA series before compiling the 100 tracks. They then revealed that 40 had been chosen to be included in ...
Distant Matter has unveiled Iridescent, his brand new, intoxicating EP. Spanning five sun-kissed tracks, Iridescent is a stunner. Its self-titled instrumental kicks things off on a high note, its spacey soundscapes leading into a radiant future-funk drop with warm-and-fuzzy synths. “Light,”which features a captivating Chuck Barz, continues the sonic journey with its soulful chords, playful melodies and effervescent future bass production. Then comes the cathartic, four-on-the-floor thumper “Hummingbird” and the pensive yet uplifting “Do You Miss Me?” Distant Matter eventually ties a bow on the EP with “Rockstar,” which is filled with bubbly melodies and fluttering arpeggios for a breezy slice of nostalgia. Take a listen to Iridescent below. Scroll to Continue Recommen...

Breathing new life into his single “Never Together,” GT_Ofice has enlisted two dance music stars for a round of official remixes. Released via CAINE Records, “Never Together” saw him combine anthemic melodies with bittersweet lyrics for an aching tune. The track directly followed big collaborations with the likes of Britt Lari, Romi Lux, Salvo and VASSY, the latter of whom featured on “Tuff,” which topped the UK Commercial Pop Charts. Kicking off GT_Ofice’s new remix pack is New York-based DJ and producer Zack Martino, who has released music on Atlantic Records, Capitol Records, Ultra, Armada and more. Martin...
