The film was first announced in 2020 and it appears traction has been made toward getting the film up on the big screen. Deadline exclusively reports that Texas rapper Travis Scott will become part of the executive producer group alongside Isaac Yowman for the biopic focused on a legend of Houston’s underground Hip-Hop scene. Eluvium’s Matthew Cooper has a new album on the way. It‘s titled (Whirring Marvels In) Consensus Reality and it’s out May 12 via Temporary Residence. He’s shared two songs from the project: “Escapement” and “Swift Automatons.” Find both with the rest of the tracklist below.  According to a press release about the album, Cooper drew inspiration from works by T.S. Eliot and Richard Brautigan for new material before the onset of severe chronic pain in his left arm. He recalibrated his focus toward compositions that allowed him to use algorithmic and automated elements. King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard have announced a slate of 2023 tour dates, as well as screenings of their 2020 concert film titled Chunky Shrapnel. The band’s USA Residency Tour will wind through United States starting in June of next year. Prior to that, they will play in their native Australia, as well as New Zealand, a number of European cities, and more. Find their full schedule below. Chunky Shrapnel was directed by John Angus Stewart and originally received a live-streamed premiere in 2020. Fatoumata Diawara has recruited Damon Albarn on a new song titled “Nsera.” It’s the first single from the Malian singer songwriter’s  as yet unannounced follow-up to 2018’s Fenfo (Something to Say). Check out “Nsera” with a video directed by Gregory Ohrel below. Diawara and Albarn have previously worked together on another single, “Désolé,” which arrived as part of Gorillaz’s Song Machine project in 2020. Wizkid has announced a 2023 North American tour in support of his new album, More Love, Less Ego. The Nigerian singer will perform at select cities in the U.S. and Canada. Find the complete list of tour dates below. After performing concerts in New York and the Netherlands this month, Wizkid will formally kick off his tour on March 3 in Houston, Texas. The trek will see him performing concerts in major cities like Dallas, Miami, Boston, Toronto, Chicago, Seattle, and San Francisco before wrapping up on April 7 in Inglewood, California.
