Megan Thee Stallion Reacts to Drake’s Apparent Diss About Tory Lanez Shooting

Megan Thee Stallion has written a string of tweets that, without naming names, appear to tear into Drake for suggesting she lied about being shot by Tory Lanez. On “Circo Loco,” a track from Drake’s new album with 21 Savage, Drake raps, “This bitch lie about getting shots, but she still a stallion/She don’t even get the joke but she still smiling.” The thinly veiled reference to the 2020 incident, which left Megan with two gunshot wounds to her feet, prompted Megan to call out rappers who are “ready to boycott bout shoes and clothes but dog pile on a black woman when she say one of y’all homeboys abused her.” (Lanez, who denies the allegations, is under house arrest and awaiting trial.) Boldy James has been on a roll, to say the least. After closing out 2020 and 2021 with a consecutive four new albums, the Detroit rapper released LPs in May and September of this year, Killing Nothing with Real Bad Man and Fair Exchange No Robbery with Nicholas Craven, respectively. Today, James returns with his third album of 2022: Mr. Ten08. While the rapper has put out a few solo mixtapes, all of his past studio albums have been collaborations, and for this one, James tapped producer and beat maker Futurewave. “Weird Al” Yankovic surprise-released a new album on Friday, marking his first full-length effort in more than eight years. The record, which arrives as the soundtrack for his newly-released biopic, WEIRD: The Al Yankovic Story, starring Daniel Radcliffe, includes 46 songs. On Twitter, Yankovic explained that the album includes “a bunch of early Weird Al songs I re-recorded specially for the movie, my brand-new closing credits song ‘Now You Know,’ and the entire orchestral score.” WEIRD: The Al Yankovic Story was directed and co-written by Eric Appel, with co-production from Funny or Die and Tango.
