Migos Rapper Takeoff Shot Dead at 28: Report

Chart-topping rapper Takeoff, of the hip-hop trio Migos, was shot and killed overnight at a Houston bowling alley, The Associated Press reports. He was 28. A representative of the group confirmed the artist’s death. Police responded to reports of a shooting at 810 Billiards & Bowling shortly after 2:30am before finding one man with a “gunshot wound to the head or neck,” according to local reports. Investigators said they discovered multiple shell casings on the third level outside the bowling and pool hall. Takeoff was pronounced dead at the scene. Iconic indie pop band Phoenix have revealed they collaborated with Daft Punk‘s Thomas Bangalter for their new album. Speaking with Stereogum for the outlet’s “We’ve Got A File On You” interview series, Phoenix, who are celebrating their 25th anniversary this year, said they worked with Bangalter to produce Alpha Zulu, the band’s seventh full-length album. Takeoff, a rapper in the influential Atlanta hip-hop trio Migos, was shot and killed in Houston in the early hours of Tuesday morning (November 1), Rolling Stone and TMZ report. Sault have released five new albums in a password-protected folder, which they say will disappear in five days.
