BET Hip Hop Awards 2022 Winners: See the Full List Here

The 2022 BET Hip Hop Awards took place tonight. As usual, some of the biggest names in the world of rap music were honored, though the only awards of the night were handed to Glorilla (Breakout Artist), Drink Champs (Hip Hop Platform), and DJ Drama (DJ of the Year). Meanwhile, Kendrick Lamar cleaned up with six awards, including Album of the Year, Artist of the Year, Lyricist of the Year, Best Live Performer, and Best Hip Hop Video. Drake won three awards. A new Ryuichi Sakamoto tribute album called To the Moon and Back is set to drop December 2 via Milan Records, featuring a reworked version of his song “Thousand Knives” by Thundercat. The album also includes new versions of Sakamoto’s songs from Devonté Hynes, the Cinematic Orchestra, Alva Noto, David Sylvian, and more. Country hitmaker Blake Shelton has sold the ownership of his commercially-released master recordings from 2001-2019 to Influence Media Partners, the company announced Tuesday (Oct. 4). Over his career, Shelton has enjoyed 72 Hot Country Songs entries, including 14 No. 1s and 33 top 10s; 58 Country Airplay entries, including 28 No. 1s (3rd-most all-time) and 36 top 10s; two No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200; and seven No. 1 albums on Top Country Albums. Kendrick Lamar dominated the 2022 BET Hip Hop Awards with six wins including artist of the year and album of the year for Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers, which entered the Billboard 200 at No. 1 in May. The awards ceremony, taped on Friday Sept. 30 at the Cobb Energy Centre in Atlanta, premiered on Tuesday (Oct. 4) on BET, BET Her, MTV2 and VH1. Arctic Monkeys Announce 2023 North American Tour Dates

Arctic Monkeys is planning an extensive tour in support of their upcoming album The Car, announcing a series of 2023 dates in North America. The four-piece will fly across the pond in late August to kick off the engagement in The Armory in Minneapolis, followed by appearances in areas like Chicago, Boston, Forest Hills, Austin, Portland and San Francisco before closing it out a month later in Inglewood, California. They will be joined by Fontaines D.C. for the North American leg, which takes place a few months after their Australian leg in January and European/U.K. leg from May to June.
