BLACKPINK lands its first No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart (dated Oct. 1) as its second full-length studio album, Born Pink, starts atop the list with 102,000 equivalent album units earned in the U.S. in the week ending Sept. 22, according to Luminate. The eight-song set is the first No. 1 on the Billboard 200 by an all-female group since 2008. Born Pink is the second top 10 for the South Korean quartet, which previously debuted and peaked at No. 2 in October 2020 with its full-length debut, The Album. R&B crooner and Grammy-nominated superstar GIVĒON has released a new single ahead of the release of the upcoming Amsterdam film. The track, titled “Time” is co-written by Drake and Daniel Pemberton. The track was created for the forthcoming David O. Russell mystery comedy, setting the tone for the vintage setting and the overall orchestral production behind the film. “Time” is set to be the lead track for the film’s original motion picture soundtrack. Post Malone has canceled his concert at the TD Garden in Boston tonight, sharing a note on Instagram that says he has been hospitalized and will be unable to perform. “I’m having a very difficult time breathing, and there’s a stabbing pain whenever I breathe or move,” he wrote. Pharoah Sanders, the legendary tenor saxophonist who performed alongside John Coltrane in the mid-1960s, has died. He was 81. Sanders’ passing was announced on Saturday (Sept. 24) by his record label Luaka Bop, which released the influential jazz musician’s 2021 album, Promises, a collaboration with Floating Points and the London Symphony Orchestra. A cause of death was not provided. “We are devastated to share that Pharoah Sanders has passed away,” Luaka Bop wrote on Twitter. “He died peacefully surrounded by loving family and friends in Los Angeles earlier this morning.
