Nicki Minaj continues to prove that she is a true queen of her profession, setting yet another Spotify record with her new track, “Super Freaky Girl.” Off of her new album Queen Radio: Volume 1, the immediate hit has been a confirmed record breaker, making the OG Barbie the fastest solo female rap song to accumulate 100 streams on the music platform. Just last month, the track made history debuting atop the Billboard Hot 100. The song also gave Nicki her first No. 1 hit as a solo artist, as well as becoming the first chart-toping debut for any female solo rap artist since 1998. Earlier last week, Nicki tweeted and acknowledged the success of “Super Freaky Girl” as it topped five weeks in the global Spotify Charts, sustaining its streaming margins since the release. She writes, “5 weeks in?...

Post Malone is currently on tour in support of his latest album Twelve Carat Toothache, and at his show on Saturday, September 17 in St. Louis, the vocalist stumbled over an opening on stage and injured himself, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch and TMZ report. Midway through his song “Circles,” the R&B singer tripped and partially fell into an onstage opening that had been used to move his guitar, but hadn’t been fully closed. Medics rushed to the stage and brought the musician into their care, and after a 15-minute period, he returned to the stage and apologized to fans for the incident. “St. Louis, I’m so fucking sorry I ruined the show tonight, ladies and gentleman,” he said. “I promise next time I come around, I won’t fucking wreck y’alls night, I’m sorry for that. A Friday (Sept. 16) concert at Joe’s Pub in Manhattan was centered around 100 years of Beat Generation writer/poet Jack Kerouac, but the more mind-boggling number at hand that night was 65; it had been that many years since one of the night’s performers, David Amram, pioneered improvisational jazz poetry at an art gallery just blocks away back in 1957 alongside the On the Road author. And even though more years have passed in the interim than Kerouac spent on earth, the 91-year-old Amram remains agile on everything from the piano to the pan flute while effortlessly scatting out witty bon mots at the drop of a hat. Alongside Latin jazz maestro Bobby Sanabria, Amram was toasting the legacy of his late friend and collaborator as part of The Village Trip, an annual festival celebrating the ric...
