The Smile’s Tom Skinner Announces New Album Voices of Bishara, Shares New Song

Tom Skinner—the drummer, composer, and producer known for his work in the Smile and Sons of Kemet—has announced his debut solo album Voices of Bishara. It’s out November 4 via Nonesuch/International Anthem/Brownswood. He’s also shared the first single “Bishara”; check it out, along with the album art and tracklist, below. The Beatles Announce Deluxe Revolver Reissue With Unreleased Studio Takes

The Beatles have announced a reissue of their pivotal 1966 LP Revolver. The expanded edition of the album arrives October 28 via Apple Corps Ltd./Capitol/UMe. The original 14-track record has been newly mixed by producer Giles Martin and engineer Sam Okell in stereo and Dolby Atmos, with the album’s original mono mix sourced from its 1966 mono master tapes. Singer-songwriter JVKE makes his first visit to the Billboard Hot 100 chart (dated Sept. 10) thanks to his latest single, “Golden Hour.” The track, released via AWAL July 15, debuts at No. 71 with 7.2 million U.S. streams (up 88%) and 4,000 downloads sold (up 104%) in the Aug. 26-Sept. 1 tracking week, according to Luminate. According to TMZ the son of the legendary Big Meech had found himself in legal hot water when Haimov Jewelers in Miami accused Lil Meech of dipping with a $250,000 Richard Mille timepiece. Luckily for Meech, investigators in Miami-Dade county eventually declined to charge him with anything as the jewelers ultimately got their merchandise back. London Drill Rapper M Lo Dead At 29

According to reports, M Lo leaves behind a pair of young daughters. According to the Evening Standard, M Lo, whose real name is Maximillian Kusi-Owusu, was found early Sunday (September 4) morning suffering from gunshot wounds. Björk has shared the lead single from her forthcoming album, Fossora. Directed by Viðar Logi, the “Atopos” video takes place in a fungal underworld, where a masked Björk, a bass clarinet sextet, and Gabber Modus Operandi’s DJ Kasimyn gear up for a rave showdown. Björk wrote on Twitter yesterday that the track is “kinda like Fossora’s passport.” The album, out September 30, was partly inspired by the pandemic experience and lockdown raves.
