While the existence of supernatural entities remains up for debate, there’s nothing that’s smoke and mirrors about Oliver Heldens and warner case’s collaborative single, “Believe In Ghosts.” Setting a unique atmosphere with the combination of a hushed vocal delivery, sweeping white noise, and bursting ambient textures, “Believe In Ghosts” remains thoroughly committed to curating an environment enshrouded in an enticing aura of mystery that invites listeners to lean in. When the track’s spirited bassline really kicks in, however, there’s little ambiguity left to betray your senses. Oliver Heldens and warner case share an affinity for spellbinding basslines and their synergistic approach to dominating the dancefloor with simple and ...

It seems the embers of ILLENIUM‘s new chapter aren’t even close to flickering out. After garnering his first Grammy nomination for last year’s Fallen Embers LP, the electronic music superstar has revealed a new album in the works. Fallen Embers marked somewhat of the end of an era for ILLENIUM, who forged a new creative path divergent from his career-defining work, a triptych of albums called Ashes, Awake and Ascend. He ultimately bid adieu by way of a momentous stadium show in Las Vegas, “Trilogy,” turning back the clock to those fan-favorite records over the course of the soul-stirring night, which he said was the biggest headlining show of his career at the time. ILLENIUM’s “Trilogy” performance in Las Vegas. Rukes Scro...
Last month, friends from near and far retreated to Rangton Park, Alberta for the second edition of Friendzy Fest. Hosted during the peak of summertime in the Canadian prairies, the intimate dance music gathering took place on a campground just outside of Evansburg, alongside a meandering river. Boasting two stages this year, the Friend Den and a new beach stage dubbed Havoc on the Beach, the fest featured music around the clock. During the daytime, Havoc on the Beach set the mood while attendees got to know one another, decompressed and cooled off by the river. In the afternoon and evening, the Friend Den came to life, conveniently located close to camp. Kicking things off on Thursday at the Friend Den, standout performances included sets from Woofax and Zovah. On Friday, the B...

Earlier this year, I went public about my battle with Ramsay-Hunt Syndrome, where my face was partly paralyzed. As a result of this illness, I was not able to complete the North America leg of the Justice Tour. After resting and consulting with my doctors, family and team, I went to Europe in an effort to continue with the tour. I performed six live shows, but it took a real toll on me. This past weekend, I performed at Rock in Rio and I gave everything I have to the people in Brazil. After getting off stage, the exhaustion overtook me and I realized that I need to make my health the priority right now. So I’m going to take a break from touring for the time being. I’m going to be ok, but I need some time to rest and get better. I’ve been so proud to bring this show and our message of...
