It’s been nearly four months since Kendrick Lamar released his fifth studio album Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers, and of the 19 songs that are listed on the record, one of the most talked about is “We Cry Together.” The tune — which features Taylour Paige — essentially portrays a verbal argument between a couple in an abusive relationship, and it’s sparked plenty of conversation given the candid topics that are covered as well as the number of cuss words in the lyrics that make it impossible to make a clean version. Ernest Hood Announces Archival Recordings Collection Back to the Woodlands

RVNG Intl. and Freedom to Spend have announced that they’ll be releasing a previously unheard album from ambient pioneer Ernest Hood. Back to the Woodlands is due out November 11. The album collects previously-unreleased material recorded between 1972 and 1982—the same period documented on Hood’s celebrated 1975 album Neighborhoods. The two labels have also shared a new music video for the Back to the Woodlands song “Bedroom of the Absent Child.” Directed by Contagious Yawns, the video features grainy shots of various landscapes with ghostly cars and figures fading in and out of frame. Feist Leaves Arcade Fire Tour, Citing Win Butler Allegations

Feist has announced that she will no longer open Arcade Fire’s current tour, citing recent allegations of sexual misconduct against frontman Win Butler. (Butler has maintained that all of the alleged interactions were consensual.) She opened for the band’s first two concerts in Dublin, which took place August 30-31 at 3Arena. During those shows, all proceeds from Feist’s merch sales at the band’s were donated to Women’s Aid Dublin, an organization dedicated to stopping domestic violence across Ireland. Kendrick Lamar has shared a new short film for “We Cry Together.” In the six minute video, directed by Jake Schreier, Dave Free, and Kendrick, the theatrical song from Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers comes to life. Throughout the clip, actress Taylour Paige, who is also featured on the song, and Kendrick play a romantic couple who trade intense verbal jabs. The 1975 have shared the latest single from their next album Being Funny in a Foreign Language. The new track is called “I’m in Love With You,” and it arrives with a black and white, Buster Keaton-esque visual directed by Samuel Bradley. The video was shot in July around a historic shipyard in South East England, and features a brief cameo from Phoebe Bridgers. CAA has signed Tale Of Us in all areas in North and South America. Formed in 2008, the world-renowned Italian duo is helmed by artists Anyma (Matteo Milleri) and MRAK (Carmine Conte). Milleri and Conte founded Afterlife Recordings in 2016, which is the best-selling melodic house & techno label on Beatport, according to CAA, and Tale of Us has put on many of the biggest electronic music events around the world.
