Deathpact to Play Four Shows In As Many Cities On the Same Night

Deathpact are multiplying at an alarming rate. Last month, fans were shocked to see a second Deathpact member taking the stage at Shambhala Music Festival. Now, four years after the inception of the anonymous project, it seems two more have emerged from the depths. On their cryptic Twitter profile, videos were shared that ended with “11” and “4” flashing on the screen briefly. Not long after that, they shared a distorted video that ended with four ovals reminiscent of the cybernetic mask of Deathpact. Deathpact ultimately announced Midheaven, a four-show tour with an eyebrow-raising catch. On Friday, November 4th, Deathpact will play four different shows on the same night across four corners of North America. Scroll to Continue Recommen...

Blasterjaxx and Timmy Trumpet released their collaboration “Narco” back in 2017, but it’s found new life in a strange place—the stadium of Major League Baseball’s New York Mets. “Narco” can be heard on a regular basis at Citi Field in Queens thanks to Mets closer Edwin Díaz, who uses it regularly as his entrance song. And despite its release over five years ago, the track recently entered the top five on Spotify’s viral hits chart. “It’s really out of this world basically, especially since it’s a track that’s been out for five years already,” Jongkind, one-half of Blasterjaxx, told the New York Post. “Usually when you release a track… it needs like a half-year or year maximum. Now, after five years, it...

Offset Sues Quality Control, Migos’ Label, Over Ownership of Solo Recordings

Offset has filed a lawsuit against Quality Control—the label-home of Migos—over ownership of his solo recordings, Variety and TMZ report. According to court documents obtained by Variety, Offset alleges that Quality Control continues to claim ownership over his recent solo works despite the fact that he bought back those rights last year. In the complaint, the rapper referred to the label’s alleged hold as “wrongful,” claiming that it “knowingly violates Offset’s rights to his own music.” Offset is seeking a declaratory judgment that Quality Control maintains no rights, title, or interest in his solo career. According to Consequence, the case has been dropped “at the request of the state.” Branch filed for divorce from Carney on August 15. In a statement shared with People and TMZ, the singer wrote...

Taylor Swift Sued Over Lover Book Design

Taylor Swift is being sued by poet and author Teresa La Dart, who claims that Swift stole the design of La Dart’s 2010 book Lover for the book accompanying Swift’s 2019 album of the same name. In a new copyright lawsuit filed in Tennessee federal court and viewed by Pitchfork, La Dart says that “a number of creative elements” from her book *Lover—*a self-published collection of poems—were copied by Swift for her own Lover book, which came with the special edition CD release of her album. La Dart’s lawyer claims Swift owes her in “excess of one million dollars” in damages as a result. The parts of La Dart’s book that she claims Swift copied include the same title, covers that use “pastel pinks and blues,” and images of the author “photographed in a downward pose.” La Dart alleges that Swift...
