Manuel Turizo snags his second No. 1 on Billboard’s Tropical Airplay chart — and first as a lead artist — as “La Bachata” ascends from No. 4 to lead the Aug. 6-dated ranking. “La Bachata” sends Don Omar, Wisin and Gente de Zona’s “Soy Yo” to No. 3 after four consecutive weeks in charge. “Bachata,” released May 26 via La Industria/Sony Music Latin, collected 5.6 million in audience impressions in the U.S. in the week ending July 31, according to Luminate, up 18% gain from the week prior. St. Vincent Covers Fleetwood Mac’s “Dreams” With Stay Human

Last week, St. Vincent had a musical residency on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. At one point during her stay, Annie Clark and the house band Stay Human covered the Fleetwood Mac classic “Dreams.” The band put a funk and jazz–inflected spin on the standout Rumours single, with solos from guitarist Louis Cato, saxophonist Louis Fouché, and trumpeter Jon Lampley. After recently sharing a teaser, FX has now announced the release date for the upcoming fourth and final season of Donald Glover’s Atlanta. The series will premiere on September 15 at 10 p.m. on FX. This premiere consists of the season’s first two episodes, with the remaining eight episodes to follow in the following weeks. The network also shared an official trailer for the show’s fourth season. BMG Acquiring German Indie Label Telamo to Gain Control of Local Schlager Market

BMG is growing its share of the world’s fourth largest music market by acquiring German independent powerhouse Telamo, the country’s biggest indie imprint and market leader in Schlager music, a form of easy listening Europop. Berlin-based BMG did not reveal financial terms of the deal, which the Austrian Federal Competition Authority still needs to approve before it can be completed. BMG says it is the company’s largest label investment since it acquired Nashville-based BBR Music Group in 2017. That deal was worth around $100 million, according to sources at the time.
