Nicki Minaj Announces Release Date of New Single “Freaky Girl”

Nicki Minaj has officially unveiled the release date of her upcoming single “Freaky Girl,” along with a brand new episode of Queen Radio. Taking to social media to share the news, the rapper confirmed that Episode 18 of Queen Radio will premiere on August 11 via Amazon Amp, the platform’s newest live radio app, while “Freaky Girl” will drop the next day on August 12. The new cut was teased by Minaj earlier this July, sharing the song’s sample of the Rick James classic “Super Freak” on social media. Sylvan Esso Announce New Album No Rules Sandy, Share New Song

Sylvan Esso have announced their fourth studio album. Titled No Rules Sandy, the album is out August 12 via Loma Vista. The band has also shared a new single called “Didn’t Care.” Take a listen below. Joni Mitchell Gives Rare Surprise Performance at Newport Folk Festival

Joni Mitchell, who hadn’t performed live since 2013 until earlier this year, made a surprise appearance today at the 2022 Newport Folk Festival. She joined Brandi Carlile, who herself has covered Mitchell’s Blue in full and has regularly spoken of her love for Mitchell. The duo sang Mitchell’s classic “A Case of You,” and Mitchell performed “Just Like This Train.” Mitchell last appeared at the festival in 1969. Watch it happen below. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Gets First Trailer

The sequel to Black Panther—Ryan Coogler’s Oscar-nominated superhero film based on the Marvel comic—has received its first trailer. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever features many of the actors who starred in the original 2018 film, such as Lupita Nyong’o as Nakia, Angela Bassett as Ramonda,  Winston Duke as M’Baku, Letitia Wright as Shuri, and more.
