The third single from the duo, “Aquamarine,” includes a guest appearance from UK vocalist and songwriter Michael Kiwanuka. Watch the music video for the track below. “For ‘Aquamarine,’ when I heard the music I just had a feeling to sing about standing up for something that’s unique and following that path,” Kiwanuka shared in a statement. “I don’t know why but that’s what came out. Sometimes when you’re following something that’s unique to you it’s as if ‘enemies are all around.’ At times life can feel fragile like ‘everything’s burning down.’ For some reason the chords and music made me feel that way.” Cheat Codes will be released on August 12 via BMG. Stavern Festival Celebrates 20 Years of Pushing the Music Festival Envelope In Norway

With Stavern Festival’s massive 2022 edition just hours away, let’s have a look back at the history of one of Norway’s biggest live music events. Stavernfestivalen—as it’s called in Norwegian—was launched way back in 2001, when its first iterations laid the foundation for what would eventually become one of the country’s most hyped festivals. Since its inception, Stavern took near the city of Larvik in South Norway, which is located in a key spot, reachable within less than two hours from the country’s capital of Oslo. But by 2015, the festival had well-transitioned from a small local event to a powerhouse brand. So it was time to move its location to the gigantic Larvik Golf Arena. With this massive space still acting as the home of Stavern and its a...

Qrion and Sasha have certainly left no room for second guesses.  Qrion and Sasha released two versions of the track: the full, eight-minute-plus version and a three-and-a-half minute edit. You can listen to both below. Super Bowl Halftime Show & Grammys Have Never Won Top Emmy for Variety Programs: Could This Be the Year?

The Grammy Awards and the Super Bowl Halftime Show have a few things in common. Both, of course, have been fixtures on network television for decades, but neither has even won the top Emmy Award for variety programming — an award currently called outstanding variety special (live). Both shows are nominated in that category again this year. Will one of these shows finally prevail this year? Quite possibly. Each received five Emmy nominations this year, which is more than the other three nominees in this category — The Oscars (which received three nods), The Tony Awards Present: Broadway’s Back! (which received two) and Live In Front Of a Studio Audience: The Facts of Life and Diff’rent Strokes (which also received two). The Grammys became a live telecast in March 1971, but they assumed a hi...

TikTok to Add Content Ratings on Videos With ‘Overtly Mature Themes’

In an effort to prevent potentially disturbing or “overtly mature” material from reaching users under the age of 18, TikTok will begin adding content scores to videos as part of a new feature meant to emulate ratings used in the film, TV and gaming industries. Macklemore’s long-rumored collaboration with Tones And I is apparently in the can, and we now know what it sounds like.
