HipHopWired Featured Video Source: The Washington Post / Getty A Southern Baptist minister from West Palm Beach, Florida, has offended the hell (uh…so to speak) out of a group of his fellow Southern Baptist pastors who appear to feel a way about him bashing the church for its alleged racism and support of ex-president Donald Trump on the first day of the SBC General Convention. Alison Wonderland’s “Loner” Album Is Headed to Print As a Graphic Novel

The story behind Alison Wonderland’s Loner will soon be put to the page. Wonderland’s stunning third album is one of isolation, loss, panic, grief and prevailing. It was perhaps her most vulnerable project to date, born out of a particularly challenging personal chapter amid the throes of the pandemic. Now, Loner has found a new medium: as a graphic novel. Working with Z2 Comics, Wonderland’s journey is documented as a multi-dimensional, metaphysical experience in prismatic color. The reader also has a say in the journey’s events thanks to the project’s RPG-style module, which ensures a fully playable, customizable user experience.  Hardcover art of Alison Wonderland’s “Loner” graphic novel. ISOxo Strikes Gold With Frenetic Trap Flip of “Chargé”: Listen

ISOxo isn’t afraid of taking the sounds of bass music’s most seasoned vets into overdrive. The Sable Valley artist and EDM.com Class of 2022 inductee has had nothing short of a banner year thus far, and after dropping the blistering “REDloop” last month, he’s showing there’s certainly more where that came from. ISOxo dug deep and unearthed a classic in Kaaris’ “Chargé,”  which was subsequently remixed by Mr. Carmack and then again by Boombox Cartel. Building off what the two esteemed producers started, he slows the track’s tempo, allowing its magnificent brass fanfare to build and linger while providing a suspenseful backdrop for the mayhem that follows. As fans of the blossoming bass music virtu...

Watch Ben Klock DJ On 16 Decks at Fabric London

We wouldn’t be surprised if Ben Klock broke a sweat performing his latest club gig at the London’s legendary fabric. It was no mere ordinary club outing for the seasoned DJ and techno producer. Creating a challenge of his own volition, Klock decided to spontaneously juggle the logistics of a performance using a whopping 16 decks. The dexterous Klock was easily working with upwards of $40,000 worth of high-end Pioneer DJ equipment alone. The head-spinning feat was surely no easy task, though Klock made it look so. We also have to say it was an ambitious challenge for a Sunday night throwdown in particular. Klock worked his magic into the early morning hours, when he was joined by Adam Beyer and JYCLRK on the bill.  Check out footage from the night below. Scroll to...

Tove Lo Announces New Album Dirt Femme, Shares Video for New Song: Watch

When I started out as a writer and an artist, I used to view my feminine traits as weaker and would enhance my masculine traits to get ahead in life. I feel a big energy shift in my environment since then and this album reflects the various ways my feminine side has both helped and hurt me. I’m a pansexual woman married to a straight man. I believe masculine and feminine lives on a spectrum in all humans. There are so many more interesting nuances than most people want to accept. Songs on this album will contradict each other, will probably upset some of you, will make you want to dance, cry, fuck, and drive your car really, really, fast. It’s extremely personal as always which is why it’s so hard to describe in just a few words. It’s all my feelings, thoughts and questions put together in...

New Stranger Things 4 Trailer Features Kate Bush “Running Up That Hill” Remix: Watch

Netflix has revealed a new trailer for Stranger Things’ fourth season, the second volume of which streams from July 1. The trailer features a remix of Kate Bush’s “Running Up That Hill,” spliced with Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein’s theme tune for the show. “Running Up That Hill,” of course, has had an international resurgence thanks to its prominent use in the first half of the series, and Bush is really, truly psyched about it. Really. “The track is being responded to in so many positive ways,” she said in one of her exuberant statements. “I’ve never experienced anything quite like this before! I just want to say a really big thank you to everyone in the U.S. who has supported the song. It’s the first time I’ve had a top ten single over there and now it’s in the top 5! Thank you so much ag...
