Joaquin Phoenix and Rooney Mara Expecting Their First Child Together
Joaquin Phoenix may have enjoyed a successful awards season behind Joker, but an even bigger bundle of joy is on the way this summer: he and Rooney Mara are reportedly expecting their first child together. The news comes via Page Six, whose source says Mara may be “as far as six months along in her pregnancy”; that would place a due date sometime in August. The very private celebrity couple have been quarantining together at their home in Los Angeles the last few months. Phoenix, 45, and Mara, 35, first met while on the set of the 2013 Spike Jonze hit Her. However, they didn’t make their public debut until the 2017 Cannes Film Festival. Gojira to Stream “Live at Red Rocks” Concert as They Wrap Up New Album
Gojira are completing work on their forthcoming seventh studio album. To tide fans over, the band is streaming its previously unreleased 2017 concert at Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, Colorado. The show, at which Gojira opened for headliners Opeth, came in the midst of the French metal act’s tour in support of 2016’s Magma album. The open air venue is nestled in the side of a mountain, 10 miles west of Denver — surroundings that the band considered worthy of hiring a professional film crew to shoot the show. The 11-song setlist drew mostly from Magma and 2005’s From Mars to Sirius. R.I.P. Ken Osmond, Leave it to Beaver’s Eddie Haskell Dies at 76
Ken Osmond, who famously portrayed the character Eddie Haskell on the beloved 1950’s TV sitcom Leave it to Beaver, has died at the age of 76. Variety reports that Osmond died at his Los Angeles home on Monday (May 18th) surronded by family members. The cause of death was not immediately disclosed. In 1957, at the age of 14, Osmond was cast to play Eddie Haskell, the best friend of Wally Clearer, on Leave it to Beaver. Originally, the character was only to have a bit role on the show, but producers were so enamored with Osmond that they kept him onboard for all six seasons. The character of Eddie Haskell became synonymous with mischievous double-talk, a polite sycophantic to grownups who would then make fun of them behind their backs.
