Netflix’s ‘Black Mirror’ Has Been Greenlit for Season 7

Charlie Brooker’s dystopian anthology series Black Mirror will be returning for a seventh season on Netflix. Variety and Deadline reported the renewal of the cult-followed series, which released its sixth season in June.Prior to that season, Black Mirror had been on hiatus for four years. Season five had comprised just three episodes and followed the debut of the interactive film, Bandersnatch, where the viewer’s choices shape the outcome of the storyline.The delay between season five and season six can likely be attributed to licensing issues following Brooker’s departure from the production company, House of Tomorrow, which owned the rights to the show.
