First Look at Netflix’s ‘Avatar: The Last Airbender’
Netflix has officially shared the long-awaited first look at the live-action adaptation of popular Nickelodeon animation adventure, Avatar: The Last Airbender. Back in September 2022, Netflix announced the full cast, which includes legends like George Takei, alongside Utkarsh Ambudkar, Arden Cho, Dann Pudi and more.The images show the first look at Gordon Cormier as Aang, Kiawentiio as Katara, Ian Ousley as Sokka and Dallas Liu as Zuko. Alongside the first look images, Netflix has released a short teaser video that shows a whole new iteration of the original series. Netflix has officially announced the first cast lineup of Squid Game season two.Reprising their roles from the first season are Emmy winner Lee Jung-jae at Gi-hun, Lee Byung-hun as Front Man, Wi Ha-jun as police detective Jun-ho and Gong Yoo as the Recruiter. Adult Swim has confirmed that Rick and Morty will be recasting a new voice actor for Season 7 to replace co-creator Justin Roiland in his role as both the intergalactic duo and various side characters.In the wake of domestic battery and false imprisonment charges filed upon Roiland, Adult Swim and several other projects associated with the filmmaker cut ties with him. While all charges have now been dismissed, Roiland will still be removed as a voice actor for the Rick and Morty franchise.During the Annecy International Festival in France, executive producer Steve Levy and Cartoon Network president Michael Ouweleen both commented on the changes. During the jam-packed Tudum 2023 event, Netflix debuted the first trailer for ONE PIECE, a live-action adaptation of Eiichiro Oda's manga series.The eight-episode series is produced by Tomorrow Studios with Matt Owens serving as the show's writer and Steven Maeda and Becky Clements as executive producers. The team worked closely with series creator Oda during the creation of the show, and Netflix promised not to launch until Oda was satisfied.
