A new series from Apple TV+ will chronicle the life of game changing automaker Enzo Ferrari. Aptly titled Ferrari, the show has been ordered straight to series for the streamer. Created by Steven Knight, who is behind the hit show Peaky Blinders, the series is inspired by a 2016 biography of Enzo, Ferrari Rex, by Luca Dal Monte. Set between 1956 and 1961, the drama series will tackle the tragic events of Enzo’s life, including the death of his first born son, intertwined with his aim to build the fastest racing car in the world. David Beckham will be the subject of a new untitled Netflix docuseries, with Oscar-winners Fisher Stevens and John Battsek on board as director and executive producer, respectively. The series is currently in production and will showcase Beckham’s “humble working-class beginnings in East London, and the drive and determination that led him to become one of the most recognizable and scrutinized athletes of all time,” according to the official synopsis. The project will include “never-before-seen personal archive footage from the last forty years” alongside interviews with Beckham’s family, friends and notable figures associated with his life and career. Netflix‘s Squid Game has made Primetime Emmy Awards history, becoming the first non-English series to be nominated for Outstanding Drama. The Korean drama series was an instantaneous hit worldwide and has been well-reflected with its 14 nominations. Lee Jung-jae has also received a nod for Outstanding Lead Actor. This year, the streaming giant came out swinging, a top contender in many major categories in comparison to other streaming companies. Netflix production received 105 nominations, just second to HBO and HBO Max‘s 140 nominations. MTV‘s own Josh Horowitz and host of the Happy Sad Confused recently took to Twitter to confirm that he had spoken to Ryan Gosling about his interest in joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Entertainment and music mogul 50 Cent has officially signed on to produce and star in the upcoming horror movie Skill House from Proxima Media. The film will also be produced under his compay G-Unit Film & Television banner. According to Deadline, 50 Cent joins a cast that is led by TikTok star Bryce Hall and other additions like Lea Pipes, Paige Vanzant, McCarrie McCausland, Ivan Leung, Neal McDonough and more. Sharing his love of Dragon Ball Z, Castlevania animator Naseer Pasha recently shared his fan film inspired by the anime series produced by Toei Animation based on the latter 325 chapters of Akira Toriyama‘s original Dragon Ball manga.
