The classic Japanese anime Astroboy is officially receiving a reboot. The series, which has largely been regarded as one of the best-selling manga series of all time, will be rebooted by the creator and director of Miraculous, Thomas Astruc. According to Variety, Astruc will be directing the new CGI-3D series, which is set to consist of 52 half-hour episodes. According to The Hollywood Reporter, a new Disney+ series based on Wonder Man, an early-day Avenger, is currently in development led by Shang-Chi filmmaker Destin Daniel Cretton and Brooklyn Nine-Nine writer Andrew Guest. While development is still in the early stages, it’s reported that the film may begin filming in 2023. The post does not reveal much information; however, it was revealed that Venom 1 and 2‘s screenwriter, Kelly Marcel, has written the script for the third movie as well. Marvel‘s upcoming Disney+ series Ironheart introduces several members to its cast and officially begins filming. According to reports, Manny Montana has joined the cast comprised of Anthony Ramos, Lyric Ross and Dominique Thorne, the latter of whom will play Riri Williams, a genius inventor and notorious for creating the most advanced suit of armor since Iron Man. Titled, Puss in Boots: The Last Wish, the film follows the cat bandit as he finds out he has used up eight of his nine lives. Universal Pictures has revealed a second official look at what to expect for Puss. The film sees Antonio Banderas voice Puss in Boots in an action-filled adventure film that sees him try his best to slow down and settled down as a “normal” cat since he is down to his final life. As he struggles to do normal cat things, Puss finds himself struggling. The three-minute clip sees the Shrek universe venture off from the ogre storyline and focus Puss. Guillermo del Toro revealed a series of first-look images for his upcoming stop-motion Pinocchio at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival, alongside an exclusive teaser, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Paramount and Nickelodeon are teaming up for three brand new animated films in Bryan Konietzko and Michael DiMartino’s Avatar universe. According to reports, Lauren Montgomery of The Last Airbender is set to direct the first film while Konietzko and DiMartino will produce alongside The Last Airbender executive producer Eric Coleman.
